How to take care of geraniums in winter❄️❄️🪴🪴

Deze bekende kleurrijke zomerbloeier vindt zijn afkomst uit Zuid Afrika.
En wordt bij ons verkocht als perkplant
De plant houdt dus van warmte en overleefd hier de koude winters niet. ❄️

Om de Pelargonium over te houden ,zodat je volgend jaar weer genieten kan van deze prachtige bloemen , plaats de plant dan in de herfst voordat het gaat vriezen naar binnen.
Plaats hem dan in een plek die vorstvrij is. Een temperatuur van ongeveer 15° C graden is voldoende.
Geef hem dan ook minder water en verwijder de dode bladeren en bloemen.
Eventueel kan je de plant wat inkorten met snoeien. Als het weer voorjaar is kan je hem verpotten en langzaam meer water geven. En als er geen kans meer op vorst kan je hem weer buiten plaatsen de Pelargonium.

Yellow leaves had me stressed out 🥲 Turns out my plant needed drainage 🪴💦

Gele bladeren zijn vaak een schreeuw om lucht bij de wortels, niet om meer water.
3 dingen die bij mij hielpen:
1️⃣ Pot met gaten - zonder drainage verzuipt ze letterlijk
2️⃣ Luchtig mengsel - 50% potgrond + 30% perliet + 20% kokos
3️⃣ Vinger-test - pas water als bovenste 2cm droog is

Save deze voor je volgende gietbeurt!

💙🧡💜Der Herbst-Pracht-Krokuss 💜🧡💙

Botanisch 'Crocus speciosus' ist eine Staude (Knollen-Geophyt*¹) aus der Familie der Schwertliliengewächse (Iridaceae) und daher mit den frühlingsbluhenden Krokusse verwandt.
Die meisten Arten dieser Gattung stammen aus der Mittelmeerregion und blühen in der feuchten Jahreshälfte (Herbst bis Frühjahr), wobei Frühjahrsblühende Arten und einige Herbstblüher auch in unseren Breiten gedeihen.

Herbstblühende Arten sind leider viel zu wenig bekannt, dabei sind Farbtupfer wie dieser Grade im Herbst nötig und bieten zudem Insekten Nahrung.

Boden:
Durchlässig, nährstoffreich, gern sandig, Kalk-hold [vertragen Kalk, benötigen ihn aber nicht zwingend]

pH-Wert:

Trockener bis frischer Boden

Dünger:
Es gibt spezielle Knollenpflanzendünger, mit denen ich keine Erfahrung habe.
Kompostgaben und Kalkung sind, je nach Boden, zu empfehlen.
Bei mir gibt es Kaffesatz mit Eierschalen rund ums Jahr (Kaffeesatz pur ist wahrscheinlich zu sauer).

How letting go of my plants 🌿 and my stuff changed my mindset ✨

Misschien herken je het: als je huis wat onrustig voelt, kan dat soms ook invloed hebben op hoe je je in je hoofd voelt.

Sinds ik Feng Shui ontdekte, ben ik anders naar mijn omgeving gaan kijken. Langzaam begon ik planten en spullen los te laten die ik niet meer nodig had.

En beetje bij beetje merkte ik dat de rust in mijn huis ook meer rust in mijn hoofd bracht.

Soms kan minder om je heen juist helpen om weer even bij jezelf te komen. 🌿

Expectation vs Reality - it’s Flower Friday 🌸

Op Pinterest zag het boeket er zó makkelijk uit... dus voor mijn Flower Friday dacht ik: dat kan ik ook. 😄
Nou... mijn versie werd iets schever, wat losser en totaal anders dan het perfecte plaatje.

Herken je dat?
Dat je iets precies wilt namaken, maar onderweg ontdekt dat het helemaal niet om perfectie draait.

Juist het uitzoeken van de bloemen, steeds een steeltje verplaatsen en rustig creëren maakte dit het leukste moment van de dag.
