In an article for @pacificwarmuseum 'The National Museum of the Pacific War', Margaret Dudley wrote 10/26/2023:

"Doris Miller stood for everything that is good about our nation, and his story continues to be remembered and repeated wherever our people continue the watch today."

"On Sunday 7 December 1941, Mess Attendant Third Class Doris Miller was retrieving laundry when the Japanese bombs fell on Pearl Harbor.
He arrived on deck, where he encountered his mortally wounded commanding officer and carried him to safety. He proceeded to one of the machine guns and although black sailors never received training on the anti-aircraft guns, he opened fire on the Japanese planes overhead. After the gun ran out of ammunition, Miller assisted in evacuating sailors after the order to abandon ship and was one of the last three men to leave the vessel as it sank. Even after leaving the ship, he helped numerous sailors to safety."

3. People become so desperate that they accept new criminal conditions

4. Rinse and repeat.

It has happened or is happening with immigration, TSA, public education, national parks, the post office, voting, just to name a few institutions- oh, and the treasury just declared the United States insolvent.

This is a looting. Congress knows how numbers work. Be on the lookout for a crypto solution. All of this is in project coup d'etat. Excuse me, project 2025.
Hold them all accountable. Congress is just as responsible.

Keep calling - not to convince, but to let them know that you hold them responsible for everything that is happening. All of it from the protecting of predators to the kidnapping, to the war, and looting of tax dollars. Also, find a no kings rally on Saturday - they're happening across the country."

"When Marie Wilcox realized she was one of the last fluent speakers of Wukchumni, she knew time was running out.

Wukchumni is an Indigenous language once spoken in Central California by the Yokuts people. It was passed down orally and rarely written.

The New York Times reports that around 7,000 languages exist today, most of them Indigenous. Many have no dictionaries, and forced assimilation and displacement have pushed many close to extinction.

Determined to save her language, Wilcox began writing Wukchumni from memory.

She had no formal training and little experience with computers. Over nearly 20 years, she created a dictionary with thousands of words and meanings. She also recorded audio lessons so future generations could hear the language.

Marie Wilcox died in 2021 at 87, but Wukchumni lives on through her dictionary and the people she taught."
