No more new orchids this year, that's a promise.. unless me and @yupe_studio_of_various_plants figure out how to order orchids from Ukraine (which are often grown in the Netherlands but since there isn't a high demand here the orchids go to Eastern Europe). So if anyone knows some sellers from Ukraine let me know 🇺🇦🫶🏻

Very easy to grow even mounted in room conditions.. Well mine's technically potted in a hanging DIY cage. Anyway, grows slow but productively, and flowers in small clusters at the end of the canes usually a few times on the same branch. Flowers after a drought period, likes moderate to high humidity (60% is sufficient). During active growing period it does not like to dry out

This is THE orchid that makes people say wow when they see it in real life and no wonder why! And it's so easy to take care of and can flower for 10-15 years without a break. Overall, just really an absolutely amazing specimen

Although I learned that it is a common orchid it will always be special to me, in my collection. Was very surprised to see it producing buds that soon after getting it 🌱✨

The color is just everything I want in a flower- subtle shade of orange. Beige, apricot, peach, salmon, pastel orange... Wanted it for so long, my bucketlist phalaenopsis! Just to find it in a grocery store

New phal and my favourite orchid in bloom- Epidendrum parkinsonianum

#phalaenopsis #orchids #orchid #orchidaceae #orchidlover

Epidendrum parkinsonianum. Usually blooms for me multiple times a year for 3-4 weeks, the flowers later fade to a beige color and the scent is so lovely and strong at night. Must be pollinated by moths in the wild ✨

Really in love with this Tillandsia funkiana, flowered once producing a small bright red tube-like flower, thought it would slowly die off creating side shoots (pups) but instead the mother plant is still going strong! Attached it temporarily to the Dendrobium pulchellum wooden box that I turned into a pot 🪵

I probably won't be home to witness the blooming of the Brassavola cucullata on the right, you can see it's bud at the very far right, looks much like a leaf. Also the Psychopsis is always showing off 🔥

New phal, not sure what's the variety name, any leads? @yupe_studio_of_various_plants 🤭

The vanda x phalaenopsis 'Irene Dobkin' still going so strong ! I think it's been in bloom for a month already, the color is just utter perfection
