WE HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hey PYH Family! It’s been quiet over here and I’ve been enjoying the rest but we still working!

If you know me, you know that in my professional and personal life, leadership is my passion. I am a 9-5, corporate girlie. I have been working in leadership roles for several years and trying to find my niche in that space. Y’all know Plant Your Heals is my baby and what better way to journey my professional life than to merge my passion work with my professional work. I am so excited to announce that I have created the “professional” version of Plant Your Heals, pitched it to a private sector organization, and they have given me a FULLY FUNDED (look at GOD), 14-session workshop series to work with teams on goal setting with a purpose starting in Spring 2024! This is Grow Your Goals! 🌱✨💕

God really is doing some amazing things in my life and every time I look around and think “how can it get any better than this?!”, he does it again. I just had to share this with yall because we are GROWING and your support helps me continue to push forward! I am excited to be able to start offering services in professional spaces and am so looking forward to sharing the journey with yall.

Hey PYH family! My event guests are officially plant parents (if they weren’t already) and I’ve seen how some of y’all’s babies are thriving!!! I’ve also seen some struggling lol but that doesn’t mean that baby won’t thrive, it just needs to get acclimated to its new home (your pot and its environment).

Here are some things to remember when caring for your new pothos plant baby:

1. Water thoroughly and allow soil to completely dry out between waterings.
2. You just put your plant in a new home so don’t be alarmed if some leaves turn yellow or it seems to not be doing well. It’s likely just shocked but will make a comeback!
3. Pothos can survive in low light but will do its best in bright indirect light.
4. Plants adjust to what environment they are in, so try not to move it around too often in the beginning.
5. Pothos will droop (and be a bit dramatic) if they need water. See how my office baby pretended to be dead?!
6. Tell your plants how pretty they are. Plants love good vibrations. It’s a living thing. Talk to you baby when you’re caring for it!

Happy Sunday, PYH family! ✨

It’s the perfect day for a lil testimony. I told all my guest how personal this venture is to me. I love giving yall an inside look to what it has been like. Coming to realizations like this one really brings it all home for me.

2023 was hard, Happy New Year! My seed was planted a long time ago. 2023 was just the year that God said I had exhausted my free will and it was either time to live purposefully or not at all. I had moved back into my mom’s house again, was in relationship with people who were not meant for me, wasn’t in therapy, was not willing to ask for help and in result, I struggled. My heartache, my grief, my disappointment in self consumed me. I got tired and yes, I stopped living and just existed for a while. By Q3 of last year, God said I had one option and that was to change my mind and my spirit and put the work in.

I couldn’t have started the work without that push from spirit, without my support system, and without CHOOSING to stay another day. So please remember, it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to need help AND ask for it. It’s okay to lean on your people. The only thing standing between you and the start of your healing journey is a decision.

I encourage you all to keep pushing forward!

First and foremost, thank you so much to everyone that came out to the first public PYH event. To sell out my first one was beyond what I could’ve fathomed. As you can see, the room was full of love, joy, and so much good energy. We laughed, we cried, we communed, made new connections, and we set our intentions together for this beautiful new year we are already having! This night truly could not have gone any better. Thank you to all my people who worked behind the scenes with me. Thank you to @footnotecoffeeandcocktails for an amazing staff and helping everything come together seamlessly. Most importantly, thank you God for the vision and the strength to see this through. Thank you for creating a lane that was specifically designed just for me. Cheers to healing, break-through, and embracing the present. I love you all immensely.

To all the versions of myself that brought us here, Happy Plant Your Heals day. I am so proud of you. Look at what God does when you lean in and surrender. You have endured, you have fought, and now you are about to witness your own redemption in real time. Today is a reflection of the love you have learned to give yourself and wow, what a love. Here’s to forgiving yourself and others, to freeing yourself from all outcomes, and allowing God to do all the heavy lifting. It always feels like light-work with him in the middle. I’m a thankful for you and your life. I’m thankful for your strength and will to live. Thank you for continuing to choose to stay another day. I’m thankful for your heart and its openness. The vulnerability you give to the world is needed. Keep sharing that big, bold, loving spirit. You did it, love. You deserve the world and then some. WE LIVE AT 5, BABY!!! I wish I had words to do this feeling some justice. I can’t believe I did it, we did it. I officially sold out my event yesterday. I’m really in my “watch this” season and only by the grace of God and my support system. To the 50 people trusting me with 3 hours of their time on January 6th, thank you. You’re in for a time. To everyone that liked, shared, donated, supported in any way possible, thank you. This has been and always will be about community and connection. My life and my work is a reflection of the love that has been poured into me when I couldn’t pour it into myself. I am so grateful for strength, vision, a strong will to really really live, and genuine love. 2023 was a fight for me and this is what redemption looks like. I can’t wait to see y’all in January. “Tell me what healing means to you” 💕

Healing for me means leaning into the now, feeling your way through, and allowing yourself the space to fully gauge every momemt, the joyful ones and the hard ones.

There was not a dry eye in the room when I watched these back. Look at my foundation! Look at my support system! When I count my blessings, I definitely count each of them more than once. These are the people in my life that make it that much easier to choose to stay another day. They helped me lean in. They are a reflection of what it means to grab the hands of the people that love you most and walk the walk together. I am who I am and my capacity is as great as it is because of this right here.

Thankful is such an understatement. Y’all get a ticket and come see me on January 6th. The link is in my bio. We are less than 3 weeks out and I’m the most inspired I’ve ever been. I can’t wait to share with you all! See you soon.
