Studio - I find older modes of social media more charming, the diaristic ones. My paintings, since the Fall time, have been consumed by imagined spaces. Thinking about liminal spaces between here and there - between fantasy and reality. Otherness and theatrical stillness. Our own relationship to space and the context of contours. More on this another time.

In a book I’m reading by Roberto Bolaño, I was struck by a line about “abolishing fate” and absurd coincidences. This particular piece I’m working on is a study and reimagination of a Yannis Tsarouchis drawing from 1965 - a drawing which resembled a dream. Absurd coincidences. taken in Seattle, Washington by @plasticmartini

Thrilled to be showing this piece - ‘Looking for angels’, 24x20, acrylic on canvas - at @slpstchstd here in Seattle (Georgetown neighborhood) this month for their juried exhibition “Where We Gather”.

The show is currently up through July 3rd.

Stop by this Saturday for Georgetown Artwalk + Georgetown carnival @georgetownartattack @georgetowncarnival for all-day festivities (12-7) and many galleries and shows in the area!

On a more personal note: excited to exhibit work again after 7 years. And for great energy in South Seattle 🐣 taken in SlipStitch Studio, Inc by @plasticmartini
