Exuviae; n. (plural).

The cast-off skins or coverings of various organisms, such as the shells of crabs or the external coverings of the larvae and nymphs of insects.

The fossil shells and other remains which animals have left in the strata of the earth.

Things stripped off; spoils, booty; memento, something of another's.

A companion piece to 'Ruse Garden' exploring a deepening interest in crafting what I can only describe as Abstract Sound Art.

Unstructured. Minimal. Textured. Weird.

Exuviae began as an attempt explore score-like music; and somewhere in that process "The Green Knight" came along and gave my eyes an extraordinary treat right when I needed it most.

From a morning walk in the ol' town square.
Paid a visit to my roots; when in community college film photography classes my first subject was Texas Avenue. Still a good spot for snaps.

More of these to come. by @plastovarts

Sifting through Public Domain films on Internet Archive and I came across this gorgeous piece by Francis Thompson (A Day in New York, 1958)

Just testing how some of my new Generator 2 works pair up with it. by @plastovarts

Kiddo and I like to browse IG for recipes. She found one for rice paper pizza. There was a thin film of egg whisked egg yolk left over, so I popped the clear dish atop a black pan for the background, snapped a quick pic and got to work editing.
