Platinum Number 241 - FIFA 15

A few months ago, after watching the FIFA World Cup, I got an urge to play a FIFA game again. And, as I work as a driver, I often get long periods of time where I have to wait around. So, I got FIFA 15 for the PlayStation Vita to pass the time.

This just so happens to be the most recent FIFA release on Vita but still provided a lot of fun! I’m still playing it now whenever I’m on the road and get some free time.

Trophy list is nice and simple and no online multiplayer to deal with meant a nice sporting platinum in the bag ⚽️

Insomniac’s Marvel Universe so far is looking great

Can’t wait to see more additions and expansions to the universe. Hoping there will be more than just Spider-Man spinoffs and X-Men some day 🤞

Marvel’s Wolverine is finally here!

Yes, there’s been negative reviews and general bitching about this game for the last few weeks, but I’ve been enjoying every minute of it.

I’ve seen so many complaints about it being a linear game and how it’s quite short… but it’s a Wolverine story. Spider-Man fits an open world setting because of the very character. When have we ever really seen an X-Men story (outside of comic books) that isn’t focused on the main mission?

As for length? Life is too short to be playing 100+ hour games all the time. I still enjoy them but they’re not everything!

Anyways, it’s been a lot of fun so far, I’m sure I’ll have more to say when I’m done.

Hope everyone else is enjoying Wolverine for what it is… a fun bit of escapism!

Platinum Number 240 - Life is Strange: Reunion

Another decent entry into the series and I really enjoyed the story of this one. Some aspects seemed a little like backpedaling from the previous game but ultimately easily forgotten about. And it wraps up the Max and Chloe character arcs nicely.

In terms of trophies, you can get all but one in a single play through! This does mean that you are forced to play the whole game again with a decision at the start of the story which overall, doesn’t really have much impact on the final outcome.

I’d recommend either way 😊

I finally got around to playing Lego Batman. I’ve been playing it for the last week and it’s been awesome!

I was a bit dubious about it after the long slog that was Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga but it seems the Lego game format has been revamped a bit.

Mixing a tonne of Batman media into an ongoing story, it’s fun to pick out the movies and games that each part came from.

Anyways… platinum trophy incoming! 😁

Platinum Number 239 - Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster

It’s all FPS! I’m usually really bad at these sorts of games but luckily this one isn’t too bad for my skill set 🙌

No major issues with this game, just that it being so old now, I got lost many times as the maps and the textures all look pretty similar… especially when trying to find hidden doors 😅

Overall, a simple trophy list, nothing missable as far as I could tell and a must for classic gamers and Star Wars fans!

Life is Strange!

I recently picked up the two games I was missing in my physical collection, one of them being the latest entry in the series, Reunion.

So now, I have the entire collection.
I’ve enjoyed the series a lot throughout the years and always go for the platinum (of course). Only downside to this is that the two most recent games force you to play through twice with a different decision on Chloe’s fate from previous games. The stories are practically identical either way, making the second go around a bit tiresome.

Overall though, fantastic story driven games worth a play!

Platinum Number 238 - Tekken 8

I’d never played a Tekken game properly before having a go at this one. Feel like I’ve been missing out!

This was a total blast to play and trophy hunt. Arcade Quest story was a lot of fun alongside the main story. Soooo glad they have a recap for the previous seven instalments 👌

Throw in some miscellaneous requirements and a dash of online multiplayer and this was a perfect recipe!

I still hate online competitive multiplayer though, took ages to finally beat other players 😅

Star Wars games that are no longer part of the canon are probably some of the best games in the franchise…

I recently got hold of the Dark Forces remaster and it’s not bad! The first instalment in the Jedi Knight series, but now it’s just Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II missing. It would have been better, in my opinion, to have remastered that one too and bundle them like with Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy making a nice looking set.

Anyone else enjoy the Star Wars Legends canon?
