1 Year Later..... 🕊🙏🏻💔

I can't believe its been 1yr since you left me...I know they say " GOD makes no mistakes", and "you're in a better place"...yada yada yada...but I often question, why did you have to come to my house to transition? But then I realized that GOD knew I would take care of you, as I've always done...

I just wish I had more time.....

More time to talk to you....
More time to laugh with you....
More time to soak up your knowledge...
More time to share our dreams & aspirations....

I oftentimes cry in private because that's what's comfortable for others...

I oftentimes put a smile on my face because that's my way of pretending I am OK..

TODAY, I will not pretend....I will let my tears fall, because I know, even if I cry a river, it would never fill the void in my heart!!

Sister, you were my best friend, protector, and confidant!!! I never imagined a life without you....yet here I am!!

I will forever speak your name!!! I love & miss you!! Hope I am making you proud, as I navigate this new journey!!! I will mourn you until I join you!!!

It's been 1 month since you left us, and there's nothing or no one who can fill this void in my heart!!! My soul has been shattered into a million pieces, and will never be whole again.

You were my protector, my confidant, sometimes my voice of reason, my first best friend, MY SISTER!!! We were inseparable for most of our adult lives, because you wouldn't let me hang with you as a kid. I miss our daily phone calls, where we talked about everything under the sun!! I was able to share with you, my highs and my lows, and your support for me was unwavering.

Everyday, I replay our last conversations looking for clues, trying to see if I missed any signs, or if there was something I should've said or done. Life has a way of putting things into perspective, because I said to myself, that night as I watched you crawl into bed, and i shut that bedroom door, that we would talk in the morning!!

I will never question GOD, or his plans, as everything happens in HIS perfect timing. I know, you were exactly where you were supposed to be, and that was by MY side as you've been my entire life!!!
