Well, it’s time to unveil the mystery! Platon and his peers have won the brand-new Best Child Performance category at the @whatsonstage Awards. What a dream come true. It all started with a voiceover for the play, when Platon was noticed by the casting director and offered a main child role alongside three other boys who had already been rehearsing for a month before he joined. It truly feels like a fairy tale. In less than two weeks, Platon managed to learn his role in Polish and Bavarian German—two languages completely unfamiliar to him. It has been an exciting, but not always easy journey for the whole family: late-night performances, getting home at midnight, all while starting secondary school at the same time. But in the end, it was all worth it. It’s such an honour for Platon to be part of The Land of the Living, and an even greater honour to receive this very first award so early in his acting journey. A huge thank you to Platon’s wonderful management team, who have supported him every step of the way and truly felt like family.
