Hey Friends, There's been an uptick of bike thefts in the San Francisco Bay Area (particularly garage break-ins) - and the local PDs aren't doing much to combat the problem. It reminded me that I'd love to help amplify the efforts of the national non-profit organization @bikeindex, who I've worked with over the years, and get them more followers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. So please follow them, share their accounts and most importantly - register your bikes! Hopefully you'll never need them, but in case you do - it's good to have this organization behind you in your recovery efforts.

So while we didn’t see a Las Vegas-like bioluminescent light show at Tomales Bay last night, much adventure was had (and we saw some twinkly sparkles.) ✨ Here’s to warm, lazy beach hangs via kayak, fireside card games and fresh oysters for brunch. And I can always count on having fascinating conversations about random topics and lots of laughs with @allison___peck @loch__jess__monster @teeners47 🥰 And thanks to Dallas & Liz at @pointreyesadventureco for their excellent service. 10/10, would work with and recommend them again! by @plattyjo

Rip n’ Dip, Graeagle Edition: the weather was still summery (but not too hot); the trails were dusty (but not clapped out); the creek was cold (but still refreshing); the company was the best (plus I learned all about waffle fries.) Elated that @allison___peck @teeners47 got to ride at one of my all-time favorite places for the first time this past weekend; thanks to @headset_press @leeper.2k for making a fabulous dinner for us with the heretofore unbeknownst to me sand dabs (with sublime g & t’s); and kisses to Peppy for being our adorable mascot. She needs a bath now after all of her adventures! ❤️ by @plattyjo

Not only does @charries_cafe put in so much hard work at MADE for @simworksusa, but she ensures that we play hard afterwards, too! This time we ventured off to Stokeridge for two days of the Best Rip n’ Dip. It was great to return to these trails and fly down way faster than the first time several years ago. 💨

Much gratitude to @nick__gibson and @transcascadiaexcursions for shuttling us, to everyone for extending the good vibes after the show, and to Rie, the bestest and cutest ringleader. 🙌

There’s a million reasons why I love bicycles, but the main one is because they’ve brought so many amazing people into my life. And one reason I return to @made.bike every year is so I can reunite with old friends I’ve known for 20 years and meet new ones, too. 💕

Thank you to my Portland @simworksusa fam, @charries_cafe @scsmith44 @pantsiadance & Jeff for bringing the community together with all of your hard work. The Ramen Gyoza Yo-Yo RC Car Party Ride was next level due to your sweat equity 🙏

I am perpetually impressed by the moxie of the women I have the pleasure of pedaling mountain bikes with in the PNW. For some of the gals on Team “Wait For Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!”, Sturdy Dirty was their first enduro. All of the courses include a ton of climbing, roots and rocks — and require a lot of resolve and the ability to push through fatigue and fear. Witnessing how this group took on these challenges through lots of training, pre-riding and endless encouragement was so rewarding. Kudos to the @sturdydirtyenduro organizers for bringing together such rad women for this tough, fun and fantastic event. 🔥

And I’d also like to once again thank my PNW girlies for helping me session stuff I’d normally walk down, riding with me at awesome new-to-me places like Rocky Point, Snoqualmie Bike Park and Raging River -- and reminding me why I appreciate female friendships so much. Love you all! ❤️
