Kelp by @wonderbowgames was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad it was! This has quickly become one of my favourite 2 player games. I love a game with lots of meaningful decisions and Kelp delivers that in every round 🫶🏻

Playing as the octopus or the shark feels completely different so there’s enough replayability and every game has you trying to outthink the other person.

It’s tense, clever and has depth without feeling overwhelming. Every move matters and there’s that constant feeling of “have I just made a huge mistake?” which is exactly what I want from a head to head game 🐙

If you want a smart, tense 2-player game with real bite… play Kelp. I can already tell this one’s going to hit the table a lot 🐙🦈

Realm of Reckoning by @iv___studio … what a game! 🔥

We played at 2 players and it was fantastic from start to finish. I loved the bidding mechanism and the area control kept every Age tense with plenty of meaningful decisions.

I’m Team Archivists all the way… and I already can’t wait to get this back to the table! I have a feeling this would be even better with 3 or 4 players where the competition for control and the bidding would become even more chaotic 🔥

Back in the sunshine for #GardenGames ☀️ It’s a little on the hot side today but Castle Combo is definitely making it to the table! @catch_up_games

Huge shout out to my P’kup for making card pickup so much easier. It’s one of those things you don’t realise you need until you’ve tried it 🙌 @getpkup

Thank you for all the messages whilst I’ve been quiet 🫶🏻 My youngest ended up in hospital and then I wasn’t feeling my best either so social media took a back seat for a little while…

Feeling much more human again so here’s a look around the beautiful Weirdwood Manor to get us back on track 🖤✨

Root 🐭🦊🐰

The first time we played Root I hated it. This time? Much better!

Playing it correctly probably had something to do with that… 🤦‍♀️

I still don’t fully understand why people are obsessed with it but I found myself really enjoying the area control side of things. Maybe I am an area control girlie after all 👑

Foxglove Farm by @alleycatgames 🦊

Not my usual kind of game but this one was exactly the cozy, feel good experience I needed.

There’s something wonderfully relaxing about building up your little farm, pottering around and watching everything come together at your own pace. No epic battles, no complicated strategy just good vibes and a very satisfying amount of wholesome farming.

I can’t say it blew me away but I definitely enjoyed playing it and can see why it’s become such a comfort game for so many people 💚

Swipe to sort Covenant ➡️
From “everything thrown in the box” to “everything has a home” 🫶🏻

Adding in a @folded_space insert has officially upgraded this game before I’ve even played it! Organisation = happiness 📦✨

The hype finally got to me! I’ve never played Obsession so naturally I bought practically all of it 🏛️📦

Today’s haul includes the base game, the Victorian Box, Upstairs Downstairs, Wessex, Characters, Promotional Tiles, Metal Coins, the Useful Compendium… and probably the last scraps of my self-control… oops 👀

Now to learn the game, organise all the content and discover whether I’ve made an excellent decision or a very expensive one ☕🎩

Play Club of Cthulhu with me ✨

Bought this on a whim and it instantly became a favourite for me! Funny how that happens whilst the carefully researched purchases sit on the shelf silently judging me 💁🏼‍♀️

You play as a researcher investigating ancient deities, gathering omens and filling your journal with research cards. The trick is collecting the right colours to maximise your score while resisting the lure of divine blessings.

Fast, clever and easy to teach - this is impossible to play just once. For such a small box it delivers an incredible amount of game🖤

Dwellings of Eldervale by @breaking_games has firmly earned its place as a forever game in my collection 🐉

I’ve played it enough times now that I’m sat here pricing upgrade kits and convincing myself monster miniatures are essential. Surely sound effect bases are a completely sensible purchase 👀

Some games test your strategy. Some games test your luck. For a Crown by @reposproduction tests your ability to smile politely while your family quietly sabotage everything you’ve worked for 👑

Hire mercenaries, build your influence and scheme your way to victory… The artwork is gorgeous, the gameplay is delightfully sneaky and trust around the table becomes a rapidly disappearing resource.

10/10 would be betrayed by my family again 🫶🏻

The sweatshirt: 10/10
The frog: 11/10
The likelihood of me wearing this constantly: 100%

I am absolutely obsessed with this sweatshirt from @waywardstitchcraft 💚🐸 The quality is brilliant, the fit is super comfortable and the design makes me laugh every time I look at it… Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to ruin the DM’s plans ✨
