Where do I get my props and costumes? Most are upcycled items I’ve foraged or been gifted. I’m often found stuck in a charity shop!

Thanks to my two nieces for helping me out, eventually. by @play_make_believe

Culture Night Belfast 2026! DONE. 🎭

Play Make-Believe took over the Flaxx Deck Stage with The Tailteann Games: a wheel of ancient games, spun live, given our own modern, improvised, insurance-policy-friendly twist.

💪🏻Tests of strength and physical prowess became thumb wars and jumping along with House of Pain. 🗣️The oral tradition of storytelling became our audience improvising, literally, word by word.
🧠Strategy was tested by a game of giant Jenga, and our homemade props were sacrificed to the weather gods. 💨☔️

We can’t thank our audience enough. Playing along through the wind and the rain like true champions.⛈️

Thanks to @culturenightbelfast for another great festival, and to everyone who stopped, played and got stuck in, you made it.

Got an event that needs a bit of myth, mischief and audience chaos? Get in touch!

Special thanks to the incredible improvisers Paul and Janey!!!

We’re back from our self imposed social media ban! (Apologies to anyone adversely affected by the posting of Bertha’s …ailments, intended for her GP. She accidentally went viral twice in one week.)

Anyhoo, us darling old dears will be out and about again in the next few weeks. Some of the places you’ll catch us will be at the Twilight Market in Newtownards, Belfast Pride and we’ll be popping up at a few private events too.

Yer granny loves ye - give her a call!
