The hero’s journey is a common narrative archetype used in most stories. It is one that has always intrigued and fascinated us .
We connect with the hero , we see them go through trials , challenges, victories and failures. We see them fight their fears , their demons. We see them push beyond their perceived limits to achieve that which once seemed impossible. We are the hero’s of our own journey. We too go through ups and downs, face demons , encounter challenges and go through failures and victories.
With each challenge we have the opportunity to grow . With each failure we have the opportunity to push forward. Embrace every part of the journey and to never give up .

Ground yourself in the present moment. In the Here and Now. A wandering mind is often the cause of anxiety, restlessness, stress and depression.
When you live in the moment, you are aware. The mind isn’t contemplating the past, anticipating or assuming the future. Bring in this awareness through your everyday activities. When you eat , eat consciously. When you’re having a conversation.. listen, when you’re working ,focus on the work. When you’re bathing , enjoy the bath. There are several creative practices such as painting or drawing, journaling, movement and sound that can help you ground yourself to the present moment. Mindful/ Spiritual practices like meditation and breath work is well known for nurturing our consciousness.
All of this might be easier said than done , but by taking small steps towards enhancing your awareness, by doing things that will help you fully immerse yourself in the moment and by doing these practices, one step at a time with consistency, you will begin to realise just how much of the chatter, doubts, assumptions, judging that goes on within the mind is pointless and how most of our “problems” stem from the act of not being in the present. ☯️♾️
