Hi, we’re Tuko. We help parents and carers really connect with their kids, one good question at a time.

Because the moments are already there: the car, dinner, bedtime. Sometimes you just need a better way in than ‘How was school?’

New to Tuko? Start here.

Tuko is a set of questions you and your kids take turns answering. No prep and no right answers. You just read one out, then answer it yourself too.

The best ones usually start silly. Give it a few rounds and the deeper stuff tends to come up on its own.

Hey 👋🏼 we’re Ben and Tim, here’s the story of Tuko. We were on a camping trip complaining about the same thing. You finish work absolutely knackered. Your kids want your attention. You want to be there for them. But your brain’s just not in it. The guilt is real. The want to be present is real. Actually doing it though? That’s the hard bit.

We were talking about the trend of conversation card games and how they took the awkwardness out of things. How a good question could actually go somewhere. So we thought, what if we put that in an app? Something that’s already with you. Something that doesn’t require energy you don’t have.

Ben went home one night and built a rough version (as you do) 😆 We started using it with our own kids. It worked. So we kept going.

Now we’ve got over 700 questions built around psychology smarts, designed to help you have conversations that feel natural and real.

We call it Tuko. It’s not groundbreaking. It’s just a tool that gets out of your way and lets you connect when you’re running on empty.

If you’re a parent trying to figure this out, give it a go.
