Musicians & performers are literally shifting the emotional energy of a room. They are taking us on a journey.

This is the beauty of what performance art can do. It’s not a bad thing to “be performative” (that is literally a performer’s job.)

But the difference between a good & a great performer, is that the latter is able to channel their OWN authentic joy, love, grief, & rage so that we as the audience can feel it with them.

This is why performers require a lot of recovery afterwards. Every show is an energetic exchange. taken in Mobot by @playadors
