We are a charity organization that takes in new and used instruments, and we clean them up to donate to kids, or anyone wanting to learn how to play.

Hello everyone,
We just wanted to share our progress so far at the PIFW office. 😊

We still have a lot more to do, but making some great progress.

We will have two storage areas
for instrument donations, as well as an office and overflow storage.

Our buddy Eddie will be doing his own private drum lessons in an extra room.

We are super excited to provide a stage and creative space for others. Well…. Really just a rug on the floor, but you get the idea 😊 We might put an actual stage in eventually.

The stage area will be used for
Build-a-Band classes,
events, other group
classes, small shows,
guest speakers, open jam sessions and much more!!!

We have also put in some cool stage lights….
Because, why not?? 😊

It’s a small space ,
but big step for us
and our mission. We hope that this can only build more growth within our community.

Our overall goal with
this growth is to have
a fun and safe space
for anyone to come play,
learn, be creative,
make friends, and
just feel confident within
themselves, and their
music/art abilities.

For the community,
by the community!!!

Thank you for watching
and please stay tuned
for opening date and
more announcements

Please message us
for more details,
or if interested in hosting
something with us. taken in Wilmington, North Carolina by @playitforward_wilmington

@taylor.dorothea made a quick stop by @ottosdrumshop today, and we had the pleasure to chat with her a bit about our local music scene and @playitforward_wilmington , and she also gave some tips to some up and coming rockers who were there taking lessons.
There’s a reason she’s the Godmother of Drumming. She has inspired so many to play.
Please go follow her and checkout her videos.
Thank you Dorothea ❤️ 🥁 by @playitforward_wilmington

Play It Forward Wilmington friends and family!!!
Recently, we made a post about potentially looking for a new office space to explore our options. This was prompted by losing access to our current space during the daytime for playing music, hosting classes, and holding events.

We’re excited to announce that we have found a home for a daytime activities
Join us in welcoming @soundsystemstudio910 to our Wilmington creative community!!!!

Sound System Studios is a Wilmington-based rehearsal and multimedia shared creative space that’s currently in development, with plans to open in November!

Please go give them a follow, share their page, and help us spread the word! If you’re a band, musician, producer, podcast creator, or simply someone looking for a space to get away and be creative, reach out to them for more details.
They’ll have a shared calendar for booking and will also provide backline equipment for bands to use.

We’re excited to see more creative spaces and opportunities for musicians and artists growing right here in Wilmington. Supporting one another and building a stronger local music community is what it’s all about!

Thank you all for continuing to support Play It Forward Wilmington and the local music scene. We appreciate every one of you!

Our dear friend @jenntalks4horses is currently fighting breast cancer, and with the help of some incredible family and friends, @dramtreetavern , and some amazing Wilmington bands and artists, @signalfireroots Duo, @thefins.nc , @jheterpan , @burdettemusic , @colecrutchfield , are coming together to put on an event to help raise funds for Jenn during this difficult journey.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come out and show Jenn some love and support! She could use all the love, positivity, and encouragement we can give her right now.

We’ll also be hosting raffles! If you’re a local business, artist, or anyone who would like to donate an item or service for the raffle, please send us a message or reach out to anyone who collaborated on this post. Every donation is greatly appreciated!
We’ll be announcing the raffle prizes the week before the event, and you’ll be able to enter the raffle even if you can’t attend the show! Stay tuned for more details.

100% of the proceeds from this event will go toward helping Jenn during her recovery.

This event is all ages, will run between 2 PM and 9 PM. We’re asking a $10 suggested donation and there’s no cover charge for 12 and under.
Every paid entry gets one raffle ticket towards the raffle.

Thank you all so much for your kindness, generosity, and support. Let’s show Jenn just how loved she is by surrounding her with a whole lot of love, hope, and positive vibes!
Please keep Jenn in your thoughts, send those positive vibes her way, and help us spread the word! by @playitforward_wilmington

Late post, but PIFW got to recently go tour @dreams_of_wilmington and help add to their music room.
Quick little story time, but when Play It Forward Wilmington first became a vision, one of our first students we donated to was a student from Dreams. This kinda spearheaded where we’re at now, so it’s super cool that we’ve come me full circle and we’re able to work with them again.
Please be on the lookout for collaborated events with PIFW and DREAMS. taken in DREAMS Center for Arts Education by @playitforward_wilmington
