We started with a @connetix_tiles glitter castle 🏰, @playsilkies as grassy fields, our @busylittlebundles lucite houses creating a little neighbourhood, and Maileg mice tucked into the castle and pumpkin carriage. 🐭🤍

A few minutes later, Theo slowly started bringing over his cars… one by one. 🚗 Suddenly, the castle had roads, visitors, and a whole new story to tell.

I love watching his imagination take over. The best part about open-ended play is that you can set up the invitation, but they’ll always make it their own. ✨🤍

Sunday morning quiet play. We are so grateful for slow mornings 🌈✨

Delila has played with silks since she was a baby, and they have always been one of our favorite open ended toys. We love how many possibilities they offer for imaginative play. I also love using them on our nature table displays and to create the canopy hanging over our play kitchen.

When @playsilkies chose me to be one of their reps, I was so excited because we have loved silks for years. It truly felt like a natural fit.

I was so pleased when I first received them, they are truly beautiful. The colors are so lush and vibrant. They’re made from 8 momme silk instead of the more common 5 momme, giving them a beautiful drape while also making them stronger and more durable for everyday play. The gradient silks are my favorite 💗

A little playroom moment✨

I found this branch in our backyard and decided to bring it home. I attached it to a wood slice with a screw to keep it standing.

A few @PlaySilkies, and suddenly we had a little scene with a tree and a lake, a little world ready for play.

I love how open ended toys don’t tell children what something should be. They simply invite them to imagine, create, and play ✨

Seeing the kids pulling snake skins out of our nature box gave me an idea for creating an easy and fun baby toy. We used our playsilks to create a scarf pull for babies. It could also double as a posting activity too. We love a resource that can be used multiple ways and the nature box is definitely one that is both durable and versatile.

This is why our play silks never get packed away 🌜
I love that our play silks from @playsilkies are beautifully open ended for all ages, allowing siblings to bond and create meaningful play together even while they’re at different developmental stages.

While play silks encourage active fun and games, they also offer a gentle way to support little ones when they’re needing to slow down and regulate their bodies, to feel calm and settled again.

I love that they can set up their own sensory play like this, giving them ownership and independence in crafting their play. Also the easy clean up is always a win - here they’re using the Winter Play Silk as the water for this ocean themed play 🌊

If there's one thing I can recommend to add into your everyday play it's silks! we have had sooo much fun using these everyday for so many different things! I created a little cubby for Elly to crawl under and she loveddd it!! I used some of the other silks to tie to the inside for her to grasp on and pull them off, she played here for so long and it was so much fun watching her have the best time and practice her crawling 🥺 @playsilkies 🌈💛✨🧚 by @playsilkies
