✨Local Skateparks✨ Reminiscing about my old skate community and the many hours that I would spend at my local skatepark CC: Hi I’m Casey, last week i was talking to a friend about local skateparks and how they shaped our skating. my local skatepark in particular was filled with some strange… choices a half pipe with an accidental kink on one side, a dodgy (but very fun) jersey barrier built into the bank. and lastly, a tiny, tiny, mini quarter pipe, no more than 1 ft tall. these were the obstacles that i used to spend most of my time on and their uniqueness brought out my silliest and strangest style of skateboarding. i remembered the community i was apart of and the endless games of skate that we used to play. I remembered that in these games, and on that small quarter-pipe, i got pushed creatively to attempt new tricks that would confuse my friends. I realised that i haven’t done any of those tricks since. On this day, i got hit by an unavoidable wave of motivation to try and relearn these. and after many, many attempts, i re-added a trick to my collection that teenage casey would call the ‘disaster to disaster’ by @playskateboards
Our May event in collaboration with @feeldco was such an incredible night! 🛹🛼💕 We had an amazing turn out of brilliant, beautiful people - really outstanding vibes. ✨ It was gorgeous to see all the first-timers making huge strides in their lessons with @yellowhatskateschool and some of our regular crew crushing it with @playskateboards We’re so excited for our June edition tonight! Get down to @baysixty6_skatepark and join us if you can. DM for lesson sign up. by @playskateboards
Learning. Isn’t. Linear. Being able to do a skateboard trick consistently is always a challenge! There will always be some days where a trick that can usually come easy to you becomes a struggle! This doesn’t mean that you’re getting worse. Keep trying and it will always come back! Be easy on yourself ⭐️ Some days just aren’t for kickflips x #skateboarding #coaching #skatelessons by @playskateboards
