Working on some new SLOWER stuff (cover songs played slow and low). @slower_666 We’ve gone in a different direction with this one. We’re covering all sorts of songs, not just SLAYER tunes. We’ve got @scottreeder on bass, @amy_barrysmith on vocals, and @esbenwillems on drums for this tune.

Can you tell what song it is?

I don’t usually post records that I buy, but this one deserves a mention. I used to watch The Weather Channel in the ’90s and wonder why their soundtrack was so awesome. Darryl Jenifer killed it on this record. Check it out.

Recording some guitars for the new SLOWER record today. @slower_666 These two @reverendguitars are getting lots of love. The red one is a Baritone Descent I’m using for rhythms, and the blue one is my signature guitar with a Floyd for leads. River’s Edge for visuals. Sounding HEAVY! by @playthisriff

I took a guitar lesson this week. I had a few lessons with a guy named John Stowell back in 2020, but before that, it had been since the mid ‘90s. It’s funny to be teaching for hours and then, in the middle of the day, get on a FaceTime call as a student.

Check out Andrew Marzotto, the dude is a monster player. I wanted to learn how to make major chords sound creepy using tension and resolution, among other things. Just jamming over Amaj7 here. I can’t wait to dig in further! by @playthisriff
