While the island is seemingly small, it is a labour of love to cautiously accelerate from one end to the other. A lot of the local drivers, skilled enough to make their way with a blindfold on, can indeed help you cover the island in all of 8 hours. The beauty of Nusa Penida however, lies in the stretches of absent roads. After several pit stops through tedious gravel, we made it to Diamond Beach. A beautiful sight to behold (at least for those who make it). . . . Diamond beach, Nusa Penida, places to visit on Nusa Penida, sunset, cinematic vlog, Nikon zr, DJI mini 4 pro by @pleaseketchup

Okay so umm, apparently I have zero survival instincts 💀 Long story short: Pretty mantas, no life jacket, salt water gushing down my throat, dumb call, swam back to get a life jacket, survived a boat crash, lived to tell the tale of a young man lost at sea. Me. I'm the young man. by @pleaseketchup
It is a widely acceptable behaviour to coerce your friends into twinning with you. It’s good to be around like bodied people. by @pleaseketchup

There's a first for everything I suppose and surfing, or rather the attempt, had been shelved for a while. Looks easy, but definitely isn't. Trying to catch my first wave felt like a negotiation with the sea. You allow me to ride, I give you a dramatic fall right after. Somewhere between giving myself that unparalleled upper body workout and stunning my feet against the reef below, I caught one wave. Sort of. I must say @jeckysurfschool did an incredible job at teaching us how to surf on those quietly treacherous waters. We went to him to rent a beach bed and 10 minutes later we were on the board learning how to spring up. To first experiences, small and big 🥂 P.S. those nipple abrasions lasted a week 🫠 by @pleaseketchup
