📰 Director GCHQ Anne Keast-Butler has this week declared “cyber security has never been more important” and we must be “making cyber security ten times more urgent."

This statement came during GCHQ’s Annual Lecture at Bletchley Park as she highlighted "a new era of radical uncertainty, contested geopolitics and rapidly changing technology".

🤝 This is exactly why cross-sector connection between government, startups and industry is so crucial. And just a fortnight ago at Plexal HQ, Baroness Liz Lloyd, Minister for the Digital Economy and Cyber Security, met founders building the next generation of cyber and AI solutions – from companies working with critical national infrastructure to those scaling globally from the UK.

The founders represented at Plexal included: David Sully from Advai, Awais Rashid from Hacktonics, Lloyd Davies from Infrawatch, Robin Brattel from Lab 1, Julia O’Toole from MyCena, George Dunlop from Quantum Dice and Melissa Chambers from Sitehop.

In targeting the critical national infrastructure sector, the goal was recognising how KETS Quantum Security could apply its technology to solve market challenges, explains the company's Head of Performance, Robert Starkwood.

🗣️ This led KETS to join Cyber Runway and, having worked with Plexal and UK Government during the programme, Robert says: "We've introduced a lot more nuance to understanding the problems in critical national infrastructure and the routes through which buyers will be looking for solutions."
