A 3 min tutorial showing you how to convert any monophonic synth into a polyphonic synth with Unify 2 from pluginguru.com. A FREE DEMO of Unify 2 is available to try this yourself with your own Plug-Ins.

This is one of many things no other plug-in or DAW on the planet can do. The ability to make any mono synth Plug-In play as a polyphonic synth with up to 16 voices is a very powerful ability. It gets even more interesting which we’ll explore in future videos. Remember, every layer in Unify 2 is tied to it’s own CPU thread (i.e. muti-core support is built-into the heart of Unify 2). This allows Unify 2 to use the full capabilities if your computer while operating as efficiently as possible.

Stay tuned as more videos in this series will be coming!

Step-by-step TEXT instructions:

FIRST: Load Mono Plug-In + find the patch you
want to play with polyphony.

Then Click the Upper Left “+”. Under “ADD
MIDI Effects choose the preset “PolyBox -
8 Layers” which = 8 voices of polyphony.

1) Change Instrument Top Left MIDI “IN” to
“PolyBox - 8 Layers” to route MIDI FX1
(PolyBox) to that Layer.

2) Change MIDI Channel from ALL to1 so
that that layer is only listening to Channel 1.

3) Far Right Instrument Bullet load the preset
“DUP 7x Next MIDI Channel. This will create
7 additional layers, each +1 MIDI Channel.

You now have a Mono Synth playing as if it
was a polyphonic synth.

TO RESET SO YOU CAN TRY ANOTHER PATCH:
Hold Option/Alt and click the INIT button.
Turn OFF PolyBox, change patches + find next
patch. Turn back on PolyBox, repeat step 3.

I thank you all for your support.
