Otherworldly Ambiguity | Tomorrow, July 7th | an enchanting, surreal experience awaits us | @emptybottle | $10 at the door or online | Feat. @club.drippy (LIVE, Pixel Grip) with Visuals by @_renalien_ (Detroit) | feat. @bonestudy (LIVE, RENT CONTROL) | @plumb.eee | @shantiism .

👽This edition of Otherworldly Ambiguity exists within and outside of the more experimental/ambient realms of sound | a multisensory architecture - visuals paired with soundscapes and a special Black Manhattan cocktail crafted by Matty to indulge in the sensation of taste as your mind is fully immersed.

*Club Drippy is the amorphous moniker of Jon Jon, Chicago native and co-founder of electronic powerhouse Pixel Grip. Taking inspiration from sweaty raves, the natural world, and queer freedom, Club Drippy absorbs and reflects his experiences through producing, DJing, and writing. In addition to his work with Pixel Grip, Drippy has self-released Made of Silk (2020) and Blue Beats (2024) as original ambient techno explorations.

*Renalien (Detroit) will be curating and creating breathtaking visuals during Club Drippy’s Live Set. Renalien | an apparition behind a waterfall, in the reeds, through a prism, held in a crystal cave.

*BONE STUDY is a deconstructionist based on the West Side of Chicago conjuring dreamlike internal musings.

*Scum.ee will be opening the Otherworldly experience in an abstract and pensive manner | a gravitational pull towards surreal frequencies that induce listeners into a state of trance.

*Shanti will be closing out the ritual with a mysterious array of emotions and uncanny noise | Her sets weave a story of the simultaneous despair and yearning intertwined with the human condition | phantasmagoric, atmospheric, and haunting states of consciousness.

We are thrilled to present Otherworldly Ambiguity on July 7th | 9pm @emptybottle featuring @club.drippy (LIVE, Pixel Grip) with visuals by @_renalien_ ) and @bonestudy (LIVE, Rent Control Records) with yours truly and @plumb.eee .

👽 This iteration of Otherworldly Ambiguity will be more ambient and experimental-leaning. We have been wanting to do a more experimental OA with these incredible artists and are very excited to do it at the iconic Empty Bottle.

For our 150th R&D mix, we have a special contribution from Chicago-based artist @plumb.eee (Scum.ee).

👽 Scum.ee is deeply connected to dark, surrealist soundscapes. His journey into music is a story of evolution and exploration.

🌞 Scum.ee was first captivated by the energetic, upbeat rhythms of the Chicago house scene, but his heart was always drawn to the deeper, more mysterious realms.

💀 As he immersed himself in dark techno, the moody and hypnotic sounds resonated with his desire to explore the unknown. He currently gravitates towards dream-like frequencies that transcend boundaries and induce listeners into a trance-like with performances that span a range of styles, reflecting his ever-evolving musical vision.

🌌 For his R&D mix, Scum.ee contributed his set from Otherworldly Ambiguity last November at Podlasie Club illustrating his diverse styles all under the umbrella of dreamlike tapestries.

Evanti Presents: Otherworldly Ambiguity, Featuring Berlin-based legend @function.infrastructure with support from techno surrealists @shantiism @plumb.eee (Scum.ee) on November 28th | 9-2am | @podlasieclub .

🖤 “One of techno’s true underground heroes, Function (Dave Sumner) has
been DJing and making music for over 25 years. He is a founding member of the Sandwell District collective, Ostgut recording artist and owner of Infrastructure.

🌃Hailing from New York, he was seduced by techno when Jeff Mills held residency (as well as his own first) at Limelight in the early 90s. Producing from the mid-90s onward, he released his first 12″s on Damon Wild’s Synewave and his own Infrastructure imprint. A chance meeting in 1996 brought him together with Regis (Karl O’Connor). The two worked as Portion Reform, releasing uncompromising music on Downwards, making him the only non-Birmingham producer to appear on the label.

💀He later moved to Berlin in 2007, still working with Regis, and Silent Servant (Juan Mendez), putting his focus on Sandwell District. Since, the label come collective, skyrocketed into cult status – decentralizing the artist ego, blurring the lines between the artist, label and dj; re-arranging the DNA of modern dance music.”

AAAYYYAAA delivers a relentless fusion of EBM, industrial, and raw power. Garnering a following from their bloody live sets, AAAYYYAAA requires submission to the chaos from themself and audience alike. Body music for the end times.

Legion of Doom co founder and Mictlan resident, Fuj is a chicago born techno demon who has been serving darksided sermons near and far since 2016. His dancer forward focus invites old with new, light with dark, and substance with oblivion.

Shanti is a Chicago-based DJ who curates eerie, otherworldly, and longing sounds.
Music for Shanti is a simultaneous immersion into reality and an escape from it. Her sets weave a story of the despair and yearning that are intertwined with the human condition and illustrate an intentional trajectory through dark, atmospheric techno, industrial EBM, and experimental soundscapes.

Scum.ee’s journey into music is a story of evolution and exploration. THURSDAY 1/30 - OTHERWORLDLY AMBIGUITY

dbl is the duo project of Archie Cowen & Zoey Guyette that produces live, raw, dance oriented sets that are as at home in the club as they are in the underground. Influenced by the rich history of dance music in the midwest, dbl tries to capture the power of simplicity, emotion, and immediacy that has brought so many people together across the world.

Sighmurai is a Chicago based DJ and curator. Known for his diverse range of genres, he merges nostalgia with innovation creating a rich emotional connection with the dancefloor.
His influences come from an early exposure to genres such as Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop and R&B.
Moving back to the city he naturally embraced Chicago’s deep dance history and underground music scene. The impact of his hometown transformed his range to adopt heavier styles of House and Techno. Whether crafting a low-light ambiance or relentlessly shaking a warehouse; he makes sure to deliver exactly what’s needed.

Scum.ee’s journey into music is a story of evolution and exploration. He was first captivated by the energetic, upbeat rhythms of the Chicago house scene, but his heart was always drawn to the deeper, more mysterious realms. Very excited to REannounce our show OPEN AIR, a downtempo, ambient chill out room dedicated to the soft and eclectic sounds for your listening pleasure.

We are bringing in the very talented, Berlin/LA based @muirjake in for an extended 3 hour set outside, under the Chicago night sky. I caught Jake at @dripping.fyi this year and it was one of the best sets of the weekend. 🌚🌝

On support we have Lunar & Scum.ee @luna_sees / @plumb.eee setting the tone and newly added @kobe_dupree opening up the room with some daytime slow motion sounds.

There will be plenty of comfy seating. Places to lay around. Close your eyes and enjoy the vibrations. BYOB. Secret Location. Blankets & chairs encouraged. First come first serve seating.
