I never imagined that my love for singing into a hairbrush in front of a mirror and telling stories (sometimes even just to myself in that same mirror) would turn into a career. What a gift to do what I love. Pictured here in my living room with a piano that I pluck on to create with. Truth be told I’m a terrible piano player… but I have learned you don’t have to be great at everything… and although my wheelhouse is singing and storytelling…it’s ok that it’s not piano…but I can use anything that makes sound to help me create what is once an idea into a song you can one day hear. Today is my first Father’s Day without my Dad. This pic was from Father’s Day last year. I had gotten a tattoo the night before in his honor (he hated tattoos, but he loved me ❤️). I had no idea the timing would be so important. Six days later, one year ago today, he had a stroke. We lost him 12 days later to o heart failure. It still doesn’t feel real. Like he is just away on a trip. I miss you, Dad. All the things that we would fuss with each other about… Politics, theology… Those arguments have ceased…but all the good stuff is gone too…your hugs, your stories, jokes, your help, encouragement, your support…thank you for being such a good provider, protector, such an honest man and a faithful husband to Mom. I will always be grateful I had parents madly in love. I had a dad I knew would go to the ends of the earth to help and protect me. I feel that absence. I miss you so much today. I love you forever. by @plumbmusic

My #SweetClementine graduates in about an hour and a half and for her graduation gift I transferred ownership of my song called “fight for you” that is written about her… To her. I also surprised her and re-recorded it and it will released on July 28, 2026, which is her 18th birthday! Get ready for some tears, parents… I am so incredibly thankful for the opportunity to be a mother and to have Clementine as a daughter. If you go back and listen to the original, try to imagine the complete opposite stylistically… It’s emotional and heartfelt and continues to capture just like the original my love for my sweet girl… congratulations Clementine Fire Lee… I love you so much! 21 days until my “true north” graduates. I have called her my true North… My compass… Long before I ever met her I dreamed of her, and just the idea of her influenced so many of the choices that I made… And when I held her in my arms, the first thing I said was “it’s you, I’ve known you all my life…you’ve saved me so many times. My precious Mom. She’s 79 today. Her first birthday since she was 16 without my Dad. She has been so strong and brave after losing my Dad in July. She’s so beautiful. In every way. Honored to walk alongside her during this season…even more honored to call her Mom. She’s an unbelievable Grammy to my children. They are better for her life and the sacrifices she’s made. I celebrate her today especially. I love you Mom! The world is better because of you. by @plumbmusic
