Last year we had a spectacular evening with 7SIOUX. After incredible 35 years, the band was back in Germany for the first time and brought a brilliant new album with them. The evening was such a great time for everyone there that it was clear we’d definitely be doing it again. So, on Friday 9 October, 7SIOUX will once again be our guests down in our basement. This Austrian hardcore institution has been on the scene since 1988. Since then, they’ve released countless records, at least one of which was recorded at INNER EAR STUDIO in DC with DON ZIENTARA. That’s quite an achievement in itself. With their latest album, “Alligator Petrol” – which was released deliberately only on vinyl and not digitally – 7SIOUX have pulled off another killer record! We’re really looking forward to this evening. We’re just as excited about @nervous.assistant from Bremen. Perhaps still something of an insider tip in Berlin, but in Bremen they’ve long been the crème de la crème when it comes to old-school hardcore. The band came out of the @sabotagerecords circle, which is more than enough to guarantee quality. So, folks… Come along and have a good time! Meet old friends and make new ones! #7sioux #nervousassistant #plus1shows #hardcorepunk #punkberlin taken in Berlin - Kreuzberg by @plus_1_shows

Folks. . . this crappy summer is almost over. Even the sun took off recently! We’re really looking forward to seeing you all again in September. We’re kicking off the second half of the year with @causeariotband, one of the best bands out there right now. That’s not just some silly marketing nonsense, it’s a fact! This is already the band’s second tour through Germany, and if you’re into melodic hardcore, we highly recommend you to check them out. Their new album will be released on @myruin_grabeland, @engrecsguy, @catsclawrecords and @shieldrecordingsnl at the end of September. We’ve already had a listen, and it’s absolutely brilliant! If you can’t make it to the show in Berlin, check them out somewhere else. You’ll find the other dates at the end of this post. We’re excited to have @muellhc as the second band of the evening. The hardcore duo just dropped an amazing tape called “Arbeit.” A raw, pissed-off sound- just the way it should be! For once, there’s actually a third band this time. Why? Simply because we were in the mood for it and the summer break was too long. We’re really happy that @shiv.jfc is completing the lineup! A great new band you shouldn’t miss. What else is there to say? Come along and have a good time! Meet old friends and make new ones! CAUSE A RIOT - Tour Dates - 24.9. Lüneburg, Jekyll & Hyde (+ @litbarski_band) 25.9. Hamburg, Størte (+ @litbarski_band) 26.9. Berlin, Trixxxster (+ @muellhc, @shiv.jfc) 27.9. Prague, Na Pul Cesty (+ @litbarski_band) by @plus_1_shows

About a week ago, @diazbrotherspunk and @litbarski_band played at our beloved basement. As expected, it was another wonderful evening — just the way it should be! A bunch of friends, awesome music, fantastic bands and a lot of happy faces! We couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the first half of the year. What great people, what great bands! Photos: Janna More photos on Facebook. Link in bio. Now we’re going to take a little summer break. On September 26, we’ll be welcoming @causeariotband from Finland. One of the best live bands out there right now. You definitely don’t want to miss them! So, folks ... have a great summer! Maybe we’ll post a few cat pics every now and then so the algorithm doesn’t forget us. Stay tuned! Stay anti-fascist! by @plus_1_shows

We’re excited to welcome @diazbrotherspunk from Sunderland, UK, on May 24, who will be visiting us for the third time. Also joining the lineup is @litbarski_band, who will just have returned from their Finland tour. We’re really looking forward to this great evening! Check out the Diaz Brothers’ other tour dates as well. In Münster, they’re also playing with @litbarski_band; the show is being hosted by @schulto from @palma.punk, who were our guests just a few weeks ago with @steakknifemusic. In Saarbrücken, @diazbrotherspunk will be playing with @trustissues_band_sb at @karateklubmeier, the bar owned by @steakknifemusic bassist Helge. We had a great night with @trustissues_band_sb last year. The ties go much further, but who wants to read all that? Everyone helps everyone else. No competition, no business bullshit. That’s what punk is all about! So… Come along and have a good time! Meet new friends and make new ones! by @plus_1_shows

Here are finally the photos of last Saturday! What an awesome night! @palma.punk were amazing, and @steakknifemusic really set the stage on fire! A huge thanks to everyone who came out. We saw so many happy faces! And thanks to @xjeggertx and Roland for your help! By the way, to all you labels out there: Palma are still looking for a label to help them with their album. Give them a listen — they’re a great band! Photos: Janna & @donowski More photos on Facebook. Link in bio. On May 24, we look forward to seeing some well-known folks again: @diazbrotherspunk from Sunderland, UK, will be joining us for the third time. @litbarski_band will also be on the bill, just like last year. More details to come in the next few days. Stay tuned! #steakknifepunk #palmapunk #plus1shows #punkberlin #punkphotography by @plus_1_shows

We’re looking forward to a very special double bill: On April 18, we’ll be welcoming @steakknifemusic and @palma.punk to our Punkkeller. STEAKKNIFE from Saarbrooklyn has been around forever, but their live performances have become rarer in recent years. So it’s all the more wonderful that the band around singer Lee Hollis is making its way to Kreuzberg this year. PALMA from punk rock city Münster are still pretty new and sound wonderfully fresh. It’s been a long time since we’ve heard a band that rocks out with such ease and enthusiasm. PALMA were supposed to play here last year. Now it’s finally happening! There’s really nothing more to say, as always: Come along and have a good time! Meet old friends and make new ones! #palmapunk #steakknifepunk #plus1shows #punkberlin #hardcorepunk by @plus_1_shows

We had an absolutely amazing evening with @wasabiriotpunk and @innocentbliss_punk! INNOCENT BLISS delivered a sensational first show with their original special line-up and WASABI RIOT were a blast. Both bands were outstanding! A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this evening possible! Photos: @donowski More photos on Facebook. Link in bio. On April 18, we’ll be welcoming @steakknifemusic and @palma.punk. Stay tuned! #innocentbliss #wasabiriot #palma #steakknife #plus1shows by @plus_1_shows

On March 20, we welcome WASABI RIOT and INNOCENT BLISS! WASABI RIOT swing the soul! At the end of last year, the punk rock supergroup (Tackleberry, Katzenstreik, Affenmesserkampf) released their new album, “Trans Rosa“. It’s a thrilling record that draws on hardcore and post-punk and leads straight to the heart of the band‘s political stance. This is the band’s first show in Berlin ever! Is that true? We don’t know, but it sounds good! INNOCENT BLISS surprise us with a special line-up. Actually, the special line-up is the normal line-up, but the band has never played with the normal line-up before. So the normal line-up is the unusual line-up and therefore the special line-up. This is the first show where you can see INNOCENT BLISS as they sound on their recordings, namely with overlapping personnel with WASABI RIOT. Sounds complicated – and it is! But once you understand it all, it makes perfect sense. So just take it easy and let everything unfold. Come along and have a good time! Meet old friends and make new ones! @innocentbliss_punk #innocentbliss #wasabiriot #plus1shows #punkberlin #hardcorepunk by @plus_1_shows

Last Saturday, everything went differently than planned: KIDS OF THE BLACK HOLE and FORKED had to cancel at short notice. Instead, MOLOCH, OK NEIN, and BITTER JEAN played spontaneously. And... it was great! Many thanks to @fuzzyhenne and @xjeggertx for your support and to all three bands who jumped in! It was a wonderful evening! Photos: Janna & @donowski Our next show is on Friday, March 20, with WASABI RIOT and INNOCENT BLISS performing in a special line-up. More on that in the next few days! Stay tuned! @ok.nein.band @bitter_jean @kids_of_the_black_hole_ @forkedhc @innocentbliss_punk #moloch #oknein #bitterjean bitterjean #plus1shows #punkberlin by @plus_1_shows
