After a lifetime of being a huge fan, I finally got to see "Weird Al" Yankovic live at a very packed Kia Center last Friday with Elias! We had floor seats in the aisle and he went down our aisle giving people hugs but stopped about 4 rows in front of ours lol that's okay though, it was still a fantastic show!!!

The thing about Weird Al is that setting aside his extreme silliness, he is also actually an EXCELLENT singer and musician, and he was in fine form all night.

He sang songs from all of his eras including most of my favorites. And his encore was a long medley of all his Star Wars parodies which we totally nerded out to! His band was clearly having a blast up there with him too. Just did not disappoint at all - not sure he's capable of that 😂

My inner child was very happy, especially when he flawlessly covered Paul Simon's "Call Me Al", one of my all time favorite songs!

It was fun to see all my fellow Gen Xers with their Gen Z and Gen Alpha kids all decked out in wild 80s prints (myself included) or Hawaiian shirts in his honor.

Also Puddles Pity Party was a real treat as an opening act 🥰 by @plusverb
