American Football Coach helping players get to their next level!!!

Honoured to Join Team Great Britain 🇬🇧

I’m proud to share that I’ve been appointed Offensive Assistant Coach and Scouting Lead for the Great Britain Women’s National Flag Football Team as we prepare for the World Games in Chengdu, China this August and the European Championships in Paris this September.

This is a truly special opportunity — to coach at the highest level of international flag football and work alongside an incredibly talented group of athletes and coaches. The GB women’s squad is currently ranked 5th in the world by IFAF — a testament to their dedication, skill, and rising influence on the global stage.

After 41 years immersed in American football in Australia, I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to give back to the sport I love — now on the international stage. With flag football now officially recognised as an Olympic sport, its global momentum is unstoppable, and I’m honoured to be part of its future.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported me on this journey. I’m fired up for what’s ahead!

It’s easy to run fast in a straight line, but can you play fast in the heat of the moment in competition ? Playing fast does not mean being fast, it means that you diagnose the correct situation and make the right decisions quickly. Football games are not won on a straight line and just because you can touch a line with your hand and turn and touch another line does not mean you are equipped to focus on the task at hand. Athleticism is important but knowing what you’re doing and being able to zero in is what focuses you to be efficient and effective. by @pm_afa

What stage are you at as a coach? What stage is the player you coach at? Align to your players needs. by @pm_afa

The will to prepare how to win far exceeds the will to win.
Preparation from a game sense perspective is all about playing the game within the game ( aka the situation) before it happens. Identify and conquer the high probability situations 1st. Master it with confidence and turn up on game day with confidence ready for the challenge. Eliminate all anxiety through preparation. by @pm_afa

It’s great when a player discovers a better way to execute a technique and they can explain the difference in how it affects their body and in particular their throwing style., If your shoulders and traps are tightening up when you throw then your restricting your arm movement in your throw.
