🌟Volunteer Appreciation – July 2026🌟
In July, we celebrated 10 outstanding volunteers who continued to make a meaningful difference in our PMI community.

· Tatevik Zakharyan consistently demonstrated initiative by responding promptly to member inquiries, ensuring a high standard of customer service, and thoughtfully following up on unique or complex situations. Her commitment to clear communication and member care set her apart and contributed significantly to the overall member experience.
· Priyanka Sharma demonstrated exceptional dedication and a true team-oriented spirit in her role. She consistently collaborated closely with the rest of the team, fostering a supportive and positive environment that strengthened overall program delivery. Her proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility were evident in the way she promptly and thoughtfully followed up on member inquiries, ensuring that each interaction reflected a high standard of care and professionalism.
· Robin Downie was a proactive force who identified gaps and stepped in to do what was needed immediately, without waiting for direction or prompting. Demonstrating high accountability and reliability, she drove tasks to completion independently, maintaining a high standard of work irrespective of external challenges.
· Katie Kwan was a true go-getter who consistently showed up, participated fully, and contributed meaningfully to every meeting and event initiative. Her proactive attitude, reliability, and willingness to jump in wherever needed made her an invaluable member of our volunteer team and a standout example of dedication and positive impact.

· Nathan Pieper was recognized for his hard work and dedication in planning and delivering multiple events from start to finish. He created essential project documents and trackers, coordinated event details, and effectively managed teams to ensure each event was successfully delivered.
· Supriya Sharma was recognized for her outstanding dedication and proactive contributions to the chapter. As both a PMAP Mentee and Project of the Year (POTY) Coordinator, Supriya consistently took initiative, followed through on responsibilities, and actively supported the team. She was reliable, collaborative, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure tasks were completed successfully. Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous learning made a meaningful impact on our chapter, making her a well-deserving recipient of this recognition.

· Anjana Rajagopalan played an instrumental role in building the Speaker Selection Team, delegating responsibilities, and establishing the structure and processes that continue to guide the team today. Her leadership laid a strong foundation for collaboration and success. Her dedication, guidance, and lasting impact were invaluable to the conference team, and we were grateful for her continued support of PMI CWCC.
· Corilee Clarke was proactive and highly collaborative across all of her contributions.
· Alvin Buenaventura was an exceptional volunteer whose leadership, guidance, and collaborative approach made a meaningful impact on the Project of the Year Awards team. From the beginning, he took the time to clearly explain the overall process, ensuring that every team member understood their role and responsibilities.
· Veronika Bogoyavlenskaya went above and beyond by leading several initiatives to analyze chapter data and turn it into valuable insights that supported informed decision-making. They also stepped up to help other portfolios, including Marketing and Events, by providing data analysis and reporting that strengthened planning and improved outcomes across the chapter.

Lecturer, University of British Columbia (UBC) - Sauder School of Business - Educational Leadership & Policy

Dr. Hoffman is CEO of Knowledge Strategies, LLC, engaged in research, education and consulting services in support of organization performance. He supports the Project Management Institute as a Strategic Advisor with a focus on integrated systems for talent management, knowledge engagement and learning strategies. He is a Senior Lecturer for the Master of Science in Information and Knowledge Strategy program at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies.
