Making Healthcare More Affordable Starts With the Moses Plan! 🇺🇸❤️

At the candidate forum, I was asked how I plan to make things more affordable for the people of Tennessee. My answer was clear: The Moses Plan!

Everyone deserves access to affordable healthcare, regardless of their income. My vision is to help make healthcare more accessible by exploring ways people can use their healthcare coverage to help pay for eligible prescription medications and preventive care.

Healthcare should not be a luxury. Families should not have to choose between buying medicine, paying their bills, and putting food on the table.

I believe in solutions that put people first, lower financial barriers, and give everyday Americans a fair opportunity to live healthier lives.

The Moses Plan is about making life more affordable for EVERYONE—not just a privileged few!

❤️ EAST JACKSON, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN MY HEART! ❤️

Today, I had the pleasure of participating in the East Jackson Forum, a place that holds special memories for me. I grew up knowing East Jackson and even attended church there with my cousin Millie. It was wonderful to reconnect with community leaders and hear their concerns about the future of our community and our youth.

One of the major discussions centered on funding a juvenile detention center. While I understand that these facilities may be necessary, I believe we must invest just as much in prevention as we do in detention. We need more mental health services, youth mentorship programs, recreational activities, and opportunities that keep our young people engaged and moving in the right direction.

As the saying goes, “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” We must start investing in our children early, before they end up in the criminal justice system.

We also discussed the possibility of an all-male charter school at Lane College. Under my Moses Plan, I would explore legislation to support youth mentorship initiatives and innovative educational opportunities that help our young people succeed.

As your Independent candidate for Congress in Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District, I believe in investing in PEOPLE, not just building more systems to manage problems we could have prevented.

We cannot keep doing the same things and expecting different results. It’s time to put people before politics and give our communities a real voice in Washington!

It has been 10 years since we began this journey of reuniting and rising to FREE formally incarcerated women who have been trapped in a broken system. What a beautiful and powerful evening at the Gaylord Opryland resort and convention center! It was a wonderful gala filled with old friends, new friends and fellow Advocate who share a vision of making our world a better place free hearts is more than an organization. It is a family of love a family of passionate Justice impacted women and dedicated Advocate who refuse to give up on one another who are determined to drive changed throughout America, I was truly honored to be a part of the special celebration reconnect with friends and watch my dear friend Dawn Harrington. Celebrate the accomplishments of others as we celebrate HER on this unforgettable night.🥰💎🥂 we dress up because we are messed up, but we want the world to know that We Are Human! We are more than our past more than our mistakes more than the label societies place on us. 🚨 HOW DO WE REDUCE CRIME? INVEST IN PEOPLE AND THEIR FUTURE! 🚨

During the candidate forum, I was asked what I would do to reduce crime. My answer starts with addressing one of the root causes affecting our communities: poverty and the lack of economic opportunity.

Through my Moses Plan, I want to focus on investing in our communities, supporting small businesses, and creating opportunities for people to build better lives for themselves and their families.

💼 My plan includes:
✅ Encouraging federal investment in small businesses and local economies.
✅ Exploring subsidies and incentives for entrepreneurs and those who want to invest in small businesses.
✅ Creating more opportunities for jobs, economic growth, and financial stability.
✅ Investing in our people instead of waiting for communities to struggle before taking action.

When people have opportunities to work, build businesses, support their families, and contribute to their communities, we can address some of the economic pressures that contribute to crime.

We cannot arrest our way out of every problem. We must also invest in solutions that give people hope, opportunity, and a reason to believe in their future.

The Moses Plan is about more than making things affordable. It is about building stronger communities, creating economic opportunities, and investing in Tennessee’s future.

Having young people support me and get involved in this campaign is crucial to creating the change we need. I would LOVE to see more young people engaged in the election process—not just voting, but also volunteering, organizing, asking questions, attending candidate forums, and even RUNNING FOR OFFICE themselves! 🙌🏾

Our young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the changemakers of TODAY!

As Black people, we must continue to encourage, empower, and make room for our youth to participate in the decisions that shape our communities. Our voices matter, our participation matters, and our future depends on making sure the next generation understands the power they have.

🚆 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MEANS CONNECTING PEOPLE TO OPPORTUNITY! 💼✨

At the recent candidate forum, I was asked: “What would you do to promote economic development?”

My answer was clear: We need an affordable transit system that connects people, communities, businesses, and opportunities throughout Tennessee’s newly drawn 8th Congressional District.

Economic development is about more than bringing businesses to town. It’s about making sure everyday people can afford to get to work, access healthcare, pursue education, support local businesses, and build better lives for their families.

That’s where the MOSES PLAN comes in!

My vision is to make life more affordable, strengthen our communities, expand economic opportunities, and help Tennessee compete with the rest of the world.

WHO IS PAMELA MOSES — AND WHY AM I RUNNING FOR CONGRESS?

I’m Pamela Moses, an independent candidate for Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District, and I’m running because I believe the people of West Tennessee deserve to hear directly from the people seeking to represent them.

I’m not running to simply hold a title. I’m running to bring my platform, my experiences, and my concerns for everyday Tennesseans to the table.

Tonight at the Asian Night Market at the Agricenter in Cordova, I experienced incredible food, music, dance, and traditions.

As an interculturalist, I believe every culture deserves to be seen, respected, and celebrated.

My journey is about building bridges—not walls—and listening to the needs of ALL our communities.

Today, I was honored to be invited to the 30-Day Challenge social at Life Time! 💪🏾❤️

When I first walked through these doors, I was discouraged. But the trainers and members welcomed me, encouraged me, and reminded me that progress is possible when you have a community behind you.

I’ve already lost 28 pounds, and now I’m taking on the challenge to lose 20 more!

But this is bigger than my personal journey.

The Moses Plan is about changing how we think about healthcare. Prevention matters. Access to physical activity, nutrition education, preventive care, wellness programs, and affordable healthcare can help people take greater control of their health—alongside medical treatment when it’s needed.

When I become Congresswoman for Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District, I want to fight for communities where healthy choices aren’t a luxury available only to people who can afford them.

I believe healthcare should help people stay well—not just treat them after they become sick.

And Life Time has shown me what community can look like: trainers who encourage you, members who support you, and people who make you want to keep showing up.

I’m not where I want to be yet. But I’m getting there.

And if I can lose 28 pounds, start again, and keep moving forward, so can somebody else.

Let’s get up. Let’s move. Let’s encourage each other. Let’s build healthier communities—and a healthier Tennessee—together.

A lot of people ask me, “Why are you running for office?”

I’m running for the people who need a voice.

I’m running for the formally incarcerated who are still fighting for a second chance. I’m running for disabled veterans and people with disabilities who deserve dignity, opportunity, and access. I’m running for marginalized communities that have been ignored, pushed aside, and too often told that they are not worthy of good jobs, safe places to live, or a meaningful future.

I’m running for the people who feel like government has forgotten them.

I’m running because I believe every person deserves the opportunity to work, to live with dignity, to have a safe place to call home, and to be heard.

This campaign is bigger than me.

It’s about the people who have been overlooked for too long.

I’m running because America deserves change — and I believe that change must include all of us.
