Girls trip, but outside & surrounded by gold 🧡💛

I say this often, but damn, WA sure is pretty. I’ve lived here my entire life (born & raised) and can never get tired of the various terrains, mountain ranges, bodies of water, and experiencing all the seasons.

On top of all that, I got to see these beautiful trees early in the season with my girl, Zelly, and our friends. 💛🧡 We had a very quiet and peaceful time out there with barely anyone else around. I’m feeling really lucky and so very blessed.

A fiery sunrise and golden larches? Yes, please!!

My goodness, lately the fall sunrises have been so colorful and the only times I’ve been able to catch them was when I was commuting to work. They were never close to what we had experienced Saturday morning. 😮‍💨 We felt sooo luckyyyy!

Blue skies, golden larches, & a girl’s best friend. 💛🧡

This weekend, Zelda and I got to spend our last backpacking trip of the year surrounded by gold and our amazing friends. Our plans flip flopped around until that very morning and the sun was calling us. We weren’t sure what to expect for larches, but we sure were pleasantly surprised to find them poppin off already!

Such a quiet and peaceful overnight backpacking stay… we were all zonked after the long drive and hike up-I didn’t even watch any Chinese dramas that I usually binge watch in my tent for hours before I sleep. 😆

Goodbye summer and hello fall, but first here’s a few snaps from our last sunset hike of the season. 🥹

Sunset at the park is sooo sweet and I’m so glad we made it just in time to bask in the warm, golden hour light. 😌✨

This summer was a little different but jam-packed with swimming, biking, and running-plus a few backpacking trips and hikes. It was one of the best summers I’ve had yet! It just went a little too fast.

October is going to be a busy month because I signed up for several runs and somehow I’m going to squeeze in a larch march or two in between. 😅 Golden trees, fall colors, and an upcoming birthday month…here I come!

Outside is where you’ll find us ❤️

Soo in loovvvve with these captures of Zelly and I from our photoshoot with our talented friend @melissapnwphoto 😍

Zelly was born with a white patch on her forehead, shaped like a triangle that reminded me of the Triforce and I had to name her Zelda! She now goes by Zelly, Zel Zel, Zelly belly, etc. While we do have 3 dogs in total that we equally love so much, Zelly has been my number one when it comes to outdoor adventures from nature walks, long hikes, to big backpacking trips. She is such a joy on the trails and if you’ve ever had the opportunity to hike with her, you’d know what I mean! 🥹

So grateful for Melissa for capturing these special moments of us together. If you’re ever wanting amazing photos of you, your pets, and loved ones go to @melissapnwphoto and get on her booking schedule!

We were hoping for a bright golden hour shoot, but we live in WA and for most of our days here, we have grey and overcast. I think these turned out so beautifully.

Backpacking plans fell through so a day hike we go! Fall colors are coming out already!! I love summers, but nothing really beats WA in the Fall. No lie, no lie…. Also, the outdoors is never boring with @erin_miyuki @lifewitherinmn 🥰 So grateful for the limited time we get to hang and all the pretty places we get to see together no matter how bad the road is. 😂

Not too many things beat a beachy slumber party with friends ☺️❤️

Originally, we were set to do a boat in camping trip but the wildfire smoke had other plans for us, once again. So we decided to head out to the coast for some fresh air instead. The best pivot ever, despite the long drive due to construction along the way and accidents on the way back. We spent more time in the car than our destination practically 😆

Such a fun day and night and I literally had the best sleep ever that night. The best sleep I had all that weekend. I can’t wait to go here again. We’ll probably make it a two nighter the next time around.

First ever triathlon and definitely not my last. I am hooked! 😆

I cannot believe I swam in open water, rode my bike, and then ran right after all that. The best experience for real and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family, husband, friends, fellow athletes, and coaches. With the help of @rtbmultisport and @bugsy5117 I was able to get over my fear of open water and learned so many valuable techniques and tips in the past few months.

Grateful for @northwesttribike for the tune & continuous support, @southsiderunclub_wa @tacomarunclub for keeping my running in check, and lastly my sister @mcnflo for sending me her old triathlon training program booklets 🙂‍↔️❤️ I cannot thank you all enough!!!

I have plenty of room for growth and I am already looking forward to my next triathlon.

Just a slice of happy goats to wish everyone a happy and goaty Monday 🐐❤️

These clips were before the wildfire smoke cut our perfect little trip a day short. Which is absolutely nothing compared to the wildfire devastation that’s currently happening in our state and surrounding areas.

Soooo sad and so damn scary… Prayers to everyone who has been displaced and who have lost their homes. Including all the wildlife, cattle animals, and pets. 😭🙏🏽 taken in North Cascades National Park by @pnwside

My 2nd STP ride as a 1-day finisher & it’s just as I remembered it being…long af 😂😮‍💨

First things first, I am so grateful for my husband and Sophea for their support and patience. Secondly, I appreciate the drive, grit, and stubbornness these guys have. They were either not trained up for the year, injured, or hungover, and they did the damn thing and finished hella strong. I’m seriously impressed because I would’ve literally died if I were any of them. 🤣 Lastly, thankful for our friends and family sending us all the good vibes and energy before, during, and after our ride.

Will I ever do this again? Probably. Will I listen to Walter when he tells me to bring my pink bike instead? Absolutely 🤣

Congrats to all the STP riders this weekend. You did that!!!
