POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

First photo is next day after the swelling and redness has gone down a bit. It’s cool to see the healing process every now and then. Second photos just a zoomed shot that I thought was pretty cool. I need to catch back up on posting.

Thanks so much Alan and Reece! Two of the easiest sits I’ve had in a while. Freedom with the design and chill the whole time. Clients like this make the job fun. Appreciate y’all 🙏 looking forward to the next session on these sleeves

Nah I’m just playing. @jthuber_ink and I had some free time so we did some lettering on his leg. Can you guess what it says?
Starting off with a quick light pass of linework sets us up nicely for the next session 🙏

Saint Michael is known as the chief archangel and the great spiritual warrior who defends God’s people and fights against evil.

I love the skin breaks I was able to add on this one. Something a little different

The newbies who get tattooed are mostly concerned with legibility. That’s reasonable of course, to an extent. Eventually after getting better at getting tattooed, you start to understand that legibility isn’t the biggest factor, the art is. At the end of the day the tattoo is yours and no one else’s. This tattoo is a great example of composition, flow, shapes, values and edges working well with his skin tone and body shape.

Thanks again Steven!

I’ve been enjoying this style recently and getting good feedback from it. It’s sort of a mixture of cursive, Old English, and Times New Roman, the 3 OGs.

I’ve already tattooed a few of these and I would love to do more 🙏

Which styles your favorite?

These are definitely some of my favorite styles to tattoo but if I had to pick just one I’d say small custom script because it’s extremely challenging. These require a single needle and pin point accuracy. Extremely difficult to do but I love it.
