All I wanted when I started this sport almost two years ago was the chance to put on this singlet and represent Canada.

Still pretty surreal that I got to do exactly that.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey, my family, my friends, especially the ones at Evolve (South, North, and Downtown), my coach @littlemanbiglifts , and of course my rock, @amrielifts . I definitely wouldn’t be here without you all.

Not going to sulk or get too much into it in this post, but it was far from the day I was hoping for, but sometimes that’s just how the sport goes. by @pocketlifters

Bench: 122.5kg / 270.0lbs PR (+7.5kg)
Deadlift: 217.5kg / 479.5lbs PR (+10kg)

Easily the most relaxed and fun I’ve had on the platform so far! PRs across the board (every second attempt was already a pr) and battling it out in a tight middle pack made this one special (59s are on the come up fr). Super grateful to compete at such an unreal event and connect with so many familiar and new faces.

Big thank you to my coach @littlemanbiglifts for everything he does for me. Competing in the same flight and being there BTS of him punching his ticket to worlds was amazing to see. A another big thank you to @byrinw for the perfect handling (and for putting up with my bs) unfortunately for them, I’ve slowly morphed into an annoying high-maintenance athlete 😂 Couldn’t have done it without you guys! Shoutout to everyone on the @wendigo.barbell team and friends at Evolve South for their support all throughout prep and comp day.

And last but certainly not least @amrielifts thank you for everything 🫶🏽 taken in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador by @pocketlifters

Felt strong on the day despite gut and water cutting and sitting in the hot tub to get the last kilo off. Time to build for nats and work on my grip strength so I can pull my third deadlift🥲

Cannot thank @littlemanbiglifts enough. Everything from the cut, prep, refeed, numbers we put on the bar and so much more! I couldn’t ask for a better coach and friend!

@aisha.marieee the real hero in during this cut. Putting up with my mood swings from being hungry, holding me accountable with meal prep and cardio, eating the same boring food with me and even volunteering at Westerns so I could have a familiar face with me on the platform. No one I’d rather do it with🤝🏼❤️ by @pocketlifters
