BACKFLIP (swipe 4 vid) 👉🏻 Real Talk 💭
I don’t know how many times I’ve heard that backflip is one of the easiest tricks to learn because you just “look back”. I can’t speak for others but for me it was the most frustrating trick I ever attempted to learn. It took me so much more than just “looking back”: hours of trial & error attempts, painful foam pit landings, numerous bruises and so much mental distress when I tried everything and nothing seemed to be work. I cried evenings and didn’t sleep at night because my head was still analyzing & trying to find solutions that would finally work. I took a 2-month break from the flip and decided to try again in La Poma. On the 3rd foam pit session it clicked and I made the flip. It happened when my head was empty of any thoughts, concerns and emotions. After that I landed many more but I’m still far away from any attempts on dirt. There are still days when I can’t do any proper ones and am stuck in a spiral of errors which I thought I was already over it.
The backflip taught me (again) to be patient with myself and give myself time not regarding how easy some people perceive this trick to be. I know a day will come when I land it dirt to dirt. Special thanks to @marco.2095 who kept pushing me when I was about to give up and @cj.selig who reminded me of being patient.

Don’t judge the girl in pink 🌸
There’s no better way to show off this year’s TS57 collections from @foxmtb than riding some big jumps🤘🏻

September was WILD 🐆 It literally flew by! 🇸🇮🇺🇸🇭🇷

Came back from Canada, had a few days to breathe, then straight into the Big Line event in Ljubljana. Flew to the USA for Thunderstruck in Massachusetts, came back just 5 days later and entered pro-level jet lag mode 😂✈️

Then off to Croatia for a little beach time and some much-needed recovery. 🌊☀️

All of that while still training, working and trying to keep everything together. 😂

So… can I please have some actual time off now? 😅

📱 my camera roll ✌🏻

One of the best events I’ve ever been to 🥹 Massive thank you to @kajayy_ for the invitation — this was about so much more than just riding bikes over jumps.

The women’s community is incredibly warm, welcoming and encouraging. Watching the intergenerational connection between young guns and experienced baddies truly feels like watching a village come together to push progression forward. 🫶🏼

And when the girls are this badass, you don’t really need the guys for tows anyway 😅

So stoked I made the trip all the way to Massachusetts, USA for this one❤️‍🔥 Made new friends 4 life 🫶🏻

My best POV run at @thunderstruck_by_kj on the legendary Fort Hill 🔺 jump line 🤘🏻

Unlocked every jump except the last one… saving that one for next year ⚡️👌🏻

So stoked I made the long trip all the way to Massachusetts, USA — even if it was only for 5 days 😅 Definitely worth the jet lag… although I’m feeling it HARD right now 😂✈️
