🇸🇬 Race Ready for Masters Tour of Chiang Mai! 🇹🇭 While @arfanfai takes on one of the key races of the year, we take a look back at the build we prepared for him. Built around the @pinarello_official S7, this setup comes with all the usual suspects and a support pack ready for race day. Rubber side down with the @maxxis_service_center_sg @maxxisbike High Road SL tyres, complemented by @skwiki.cycling accessories, including the bottle cages, bar tape and race bottles. 💨 We’ve been supporting Afan for years, right from his junior XCO racing days. It’s been a journey watching him grow as a rider, represent Singapore in the national colours, and continue pushing towards greater heights. Vlog 2 on the Cross Country Eliminator (XCE) race from the SIOL International MTB challenge in August! The XCE features a heats style race format typically on a 1 to 2 min course. Unfortunately got knocked out during the quarter final stages but @riyadhhakim14 managed to get a solid 5th through the small final. XCE really hasn't been my forte since the start but it was definitely fun to have a good crack at it :) Stay tuned for vlog 3 and 4 featuring the XCC and XCO! Enjoy :) . 🇸🇬 National MTB championships! 2nd in the XCO after a hard fought race! Honestly despite the relatively status quo placing, I'm really happy with the way I raced considering the short prep and turn around from racing on the road all season. Slowly but surely turning into the rider that I wanna see out there :) The bike is absolutely superb and I am confident this result wouldn't have been possible without it. Considering I've only had about 8 rides on it I'd say this was pretty good! @polygonbikes Syncline DR8 The track was surprisingly fun and challenging with the 200 turns so hopefully we could have more racing here in the future 🤞🏽 Firstly, thank you to my brother @riyadhhakim14 for always pushing me on the bike whether off or on the road. We don't always get to race with each other anymore but I cherish every single opportunity. You're an absolute natural on the bike especially MTB and having a front seat to your class is always cool and educational. Thank you as well to @thisisattitudebikes for the years of premium love, support and culture that you guys bring. I'm honoured to finally be able to race for you guys and bring home a cookie. Thank you to @rodalinksingapore and @polygonbikesid for the amazing bike and support. To anyone looking to support me and/or high quality great value bikes, do check it out!! Thank you to @yassminassyura for the ever present and quality support and care. You may not be a rider (yet 👀) but your analytical quality knows little bounds. Of course without saying, thank you to @podiumperformance for the engine to get these results and all my family, friends and support systems for helping me do what I need to do. 🚴‍♂️🇸🇬 OCBC National Championships – ITT, Criterium & Road Race 🇸🇬🚴‍♂️ We were represented across all three disciplines last weekend, and what a blast it was! 🙌 For us, this was one of our tune-up races before the main event next month—the Mountain Bike National Championships. A chance to step outside our usual discipline, have fun, and enjoy some racing on the road. Our team was represented in: 🔥 Youth 🔥 Junior 🔥 Men Open Most importantly, everyone came back safely, with no major incidents and plenty of smiles. It was great rubbing shoulders with the road community—just a bunch of mountain bikers having fun on skinny tyres! 😄 We were also there to support @podiumperformance riders , @arfanfai @ameliorate.sg ,and @dalvin._ , whom are all under the @maxxis_service_center_sg / @tscyclesg / @skwiki.cycling sponsorship programme. 👏🏆 Last weekend was full of camaraderie, the friendships, and the memories made together. Honestly, this weekend felt more like a team bonding retreat than a race, and we loved every minute of it. ❤️ Special Mention to the backend support crew - @ee.howe @trevorsoh82 @kia_hui_lim @debbz81 ❤️ THANK YOU ! Watch till the end for the bloopers! 😂 Finding that balance between racing hard and having fun is what it’s all about—knowing when to be serious and when to relax, soak it all in, and enjoy the journey. ⏭️ Next up: the Singapore Open Enduro. What an incredible session at Shimano Cycling World as we had our 'Earn Every Kilometer' talk last month. We focused heavily on educating our youth riders about the importance of anti-doping, reinforcing the fact that there are truly 'no miracle miles' on the path to genuine achievement. We were also honoured to have Shayne Bannan share his incredible journey as a world-class coach, to his current vital role as High Performance Director for the Singapore Cycling Federation. Alongside him was Weiliang Chung, a sports scientist specialising in exercise performance and nutrition. SEA Games 2025 Bike Check, Part 1, Counting down to SEA games 2025, here’s @dalvin._ ‘s Giant TT bike, fully dialed in for the Team Time Trial event, where he’ll be representing Singapore (also in Road race !). The wheels were re-tensioned specifically for his weight, since these are not his usual TT race wheels. We fitted a brand-new chain, cassette, and chainring, giving him the ideal gear ratio for this year’s slightly climbing TTT course. For tyres, we’re running @maxxis_service_center_sg @maxxisbike High Road SL in 28C — offering a bigger contact patch, soft compound, and the ability to adjust rolling resistance VS grip with simple tire pressure change. A small cockpit tweak: inner tubes wrapped around the TT bars for extra grip instead of bar tape 😁. Does the job while saving so grams 😉 Every bearing on the bike has been also serviced and optimized to run as smooth and fast as possible.
