Seventeen years ago, 13 people were killed at Fort Hood. Their families deserve justice, and the military justice system has delivered a verdict.

But livestreaming this execution is wrong. It’s been nearly a century since a public execution in the U.S., for good reason. It risks unconstitutional cruelty, harm to minors, further violence, and danger to our troops.

There’s no provision in military code allowing it. Congress must act immediately.

“Stop Insider Trading Act” sounds like it would ban stock trading—but the details show otherwise. It would actually allow members, their spouses, and their dependents to continue owning stocks, purchasing corporate bonds, and even trading with just seven days' notice.

It would enable and protect the status quo, allowing lawmakers to continue cheating the system for their own financial gain.

This is unacceptable. We demand real reform.
