🖤 Vyshyvka
❤️ Embroidery
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This was N’s first(!) tattoo. Дякую Вам, thank you for the trust and honor of creating this piece for you. We combined elements from a vyshyvanka (embroidered shirt) his mother had made, with the challenge of a negative-space tryzub (emblem of Ukraine). I’m pretty proud of this one ❤️‍🔥🇺🇦

Work in progress. The embroidery patterns have names encoded in the design, significant to the client. Spelling names through embroidery patterns is always such a special and rewarding way of customizing a piece. Looking forward to finishing this one!

Rose and folk ornaments. Love pairing organics with embroidery patterns and folk art.
