Meet the other half of the duo, Julia Tan (@juliapercussion) 💖
Since completing her Master’s degree at NYU Steinhardt in 2023, Julia has made a name for herself as a distinguished soloist and percussionist. Her passion for the marimba is evident in her performances, including her captivating rendition of Emmanuel Séjourné’s Marimba Concerto, which earned her the SSO President’s Young Performers award in 2020.

Julia frequently freelances with orchestras as a percussionist and timpanist. She is also deeply committed to chamber music and cross-disciplinary collaborations, inspiring her to curate a variety of recital series. Additionally, she aims to encourage young musicians and promote contemporary percussion literature.

In her free time, Julia loves reading, traveling, and exploring new experiences like snowboarding and scuba diving! 📖🤿🏂 taken in Singapore by @point75duo
