The S.S. Maheno. Or what's left of it...
This once beautiful ocean liner sailed its maiden voyage in 1905, taking passengers between Australia and New Zealand. Then, it was used to transport sick and wounded soldiers during WWI. While being towed to Japan in 1935, a winter storm caused the boat to become beached on the eastern beach, where it still stands to this day.

This coffee is an absolute beauty.
Thanks to @lancehedrick and the @onyxcoffeelab gang for getting this on the @dogandhatlove sub.
Have enjoyed this by all my usual brew methods: V60, @aeropress, and espresso. A true omni roast; if you believe in that sort of thing.

Went for a walk at the weekend and did some al fresco brewing with my @aeropress.
About 5 hours prior, I loaded my @fellowproducts carter mug with 95'C water and it was still hot enough make a decent brew with some tasty @the_brew_project decaf beans (it was past 2, afterall).
Do you like the new @darkartscoffee sticker adorning my Aeropress?

I was so excited for this collab between @bullhousebeer and @pr_cess and it does *not* disappoint!
A really smooth table beer with a lovely vanillary coffee aftertaste that I'm finding like the aftertaste you get from chewing on a coffee bean - after any bitterness has gone.
Highly recommend!!

Do you dial in your filter brews?
This is a big deal for espresso but it seems that we're more willing to settle for an average brew with our percolation or immersion brewing methods (and hybrids of these).
I've started dialling in my pourover brews but for some reason, I stick to the same @aeropress recipe each time.
Well, no longer!
Thanks to a great video from @wendeliendrinkscoffee - I'm now playing around with my AP brews in similar ways (check the link in their bio for video!).
Today I've ground a little coarser than usual (swipe to see) than I usually would, with the aim of achieving a little more acidity.
•
The result was a lighter cup with a little more acidity and less astringency I've had with finer grind settings but keeping the berry fruit flavour that comes through for me.
•
Recipe, as per @wendeliendrinkscoffee
(inversion brew) as follows:
♡ 16g tasty @ravecoffee
♡ 260g water at 95'C
♡ 10 stirs with AP paddle
♡ Brew 1 min
♡ Cap with filter, invert, press for 30s
♡ Enjoy!
