thank you for your understanding! 👷🏻‍♀️ if you are in urgent need of work or an estimate, it’s best you contact a large group to help you! 💁🏻‍♀️ here at Point and Plaster I’m a one woman show, and if you’d like to work with me and your project is more than 2 or 3 days, you should expect a year wait! sorry for any inconveniences! I’m always available for consultations, in person or via phone call! I’m also available for private courses and will be teaching group courses throughout the year! 💪

being able to figure things out is one of the best qualities you can possess as a tradesman or business owner, loosen up a little bit and be okay with rolling with the punches and making things work 🥊💪🫶 sometimes we learn the most from the mistakes we make, and you’re going to make them on your way to being great at anything, in fact they’re part of the process 🫶

((((pls don’t worry about how I got my mud up there or what tools I used if you’re concerned for my speed or just want to go out of your way to try to make yourself feel superior, I threw that whole wall up in a day alone💁🏻‍♀️💖🐬)))))

at one point, stopping and looking at my student’s work had me speechless 😶 which you all know or can tell is a rare thing for me to be 😂 I miss this group already, and have no doubt they will be successful in their future endeavors 👷🏻‍♀️ you can tell these students signed up for this program hungry to learn, and they were such a pleasure to teach and spend time with 🥹🫶💪they nailed their finish coats with lime finish plaster 🤌🏼 works of art 🖼️

I am so grateful to have a career that gives me a deep sense of purpose, and I do not take this blessing for granted 👷🏻‍♀️ from helping home owners to educating and inspiring the next generation of craftsmen, it’s as much about the people as it is the work 🫶 loving my job is a bonus ❤️ my brain is still recovering from teaching and commuting 🙃 but there will be more posts coming on day 3 of my student’s work 🤩 and about the program I taught in and the history of Eastern State Penitentiary, plus how my personal life and experience impacted my feelings during this opportunity🙏🏼 teaching in the city I grew up in was a full circle moment and my drives were filled with reflection and gratitude 🥹 not to mention every one of my students teach me just as much as I hope I teach them, and I hope I am able to inspire them as much as I’m inspired by them 💪🫶

I will give this whole teaching opportunity and experience a proper post to do my thoughts more justice when I have more energy after tomorrow 💁🏻‍♀️ for now I’m just asking all of my plasterer friends to tap in and hype up my students in the comments because they are crushing this traditional plastering course 💪 working like the PROs today 🙌👷🏻‍♀️ seriously impressed with this group and can see every one of these students going the distance with whatever success looks like to them and in whatever field they’re feeling the pull towards.. regardless we have some traditional plasterers in the making right here 🤌🏼 natural lime skim coat up tomorrow 💁🏻‍♀️(3 missing in the picture, but they DID show up and show out 🙌)
