The South of France has a long and diverse history of winemaking, with a wide range of grapes, landscapes, and traditions that make the region incredibly exciting to explore. A huge controversy in the mid-80s led to Austria becoming home to one of the highest ratios of fine wine in the world. With Grüner Veltliner leading the way as its most recognizable grape, along with stunning Riesling, Austria makes truly spectacular whites, but it doesn’t stop there. Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt produce a wide range of complex reds, showing that Austria’s wine scene extends far beyond its famous white varieties.
