An 8-second escape from the midweek madness. 🔊

Close your eyes, let your ears transport you to this waterfall, hidden deep within Grenada...🇬🇩

...take a deep breath, reset, and let the stress wash away. 🌊 by @pointersplantspetals

Neighbour: "Can you help me? There's a bird on my balcony, I think it's a kite"

Me: Agreeing to help, quietly terrified knowing how big kites are. To my relief, it was a young falcon…

Yesterday turned into an unexpected rescue mission for a gorgeous Peregrine Falcon. I’ve watched these birds on the wing for years, so going from mild panic to being this close was a complete honour.

The expert told me we are in fledgling season. A huge number of falcons across London leave their nests at almost the exact same time—often on the same day—triggering a local wildlife panic as these young birds land in unexpected urban spots!

🚨 What to do if you find a grounded falcon:If you spot a young bird of prey stranded on the ground or stuck on a balcony, keep your distance but keep eyes on it. Snap a quick photo from a distance so experts can identify the species and age. Provide an exit if possible (we set up a makeshift ladder so he could climb out), and if they seem panicked, retreat to give them space.

⚠️ Important tip: Never move it yourself, take it away, or offer it food or water, as well-meaning snacks can be dangerous for a bird in shock. Instead, call a specialist group immediately.

Finding help wasn't easy. Sadly, many wildlife charities across London, specifically around Greenwich, have closed or scaled back due to a lack of funding and people power. After contacting several channels, I finally reached the perfect person from the London Peregrine Partnership.

Huge shout out to them for arriving when they did! Their conservation work is amazing, and knowing exactly where to safely return him was so special.

Whenever I find an animal in need, the last thing I want to do is remove it from its local surroundings. I'm incredibly grateful to find someone with the knowledge to do just that!

Turns out being the neighbourhood "nature person" pays off. 🦅✨ by @pointersplantspetals

What do you think? 🤗 by @pointersplantspetals

I've not posted for a long while,
I've been caught up in all that life brings.

In the moments I find myself feeling burnt out;
I craft, I create. Creating brings me peace.

So in the times when I don't post any content here…
You can be sure;

I'm working on lots of new creations, building an array of products & planning the growth of Pointer’s Plants + Petals. by @pointersplantspetals
