I gifted myself a canon r8 for graduating college. my canon r8 took me far, up to many mountains, peaks, beaches, and cities in california. many memories were made with that body. These pictures were taken with the canon r8. may it rest in peace, somewhere on highway 168.

I previously shot on a borrowed fujifilm, learning the exposure settings and manual mode through trial and error, taking it everywhere i went in hopes to get a lucky lighting situation or perfect frame. I did grad shoots and videos, but i never perfected the art. it was a passion, but also a shallow hobby.

Now I have leapt into the rabbit hole of composition, lighting techniques, poses, animals, gear, and the most complex Davinci Resolve software. never have i been more occupied in my free time. This is one of those hobbies where i could spend many many consecutive hours learning a never ending list of skills and details with little rest. I'm so grateful to be able to capture nature, my life, and other people's lives.
