ALA 2026
(Full-size on YouTube)

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO LET ME FILM YOU ❤️

This was my first major con trying to balance small interviews with getting enough slow-mo shots. I definitely learned my limitations and how I needed to upgrade the mobility of my gear, because being stuck in one spot once I set down my tripod was definitely limiting in who I could pull to film. I'm trying my best to get a wide variety of cosplayers, so I need to be able to scoot around more haha

Again, I'm mostly shooting for a long-term project, so not all of the interviews were used for this, but editing these shorter videos is helping me get a better idea of how to adjust what/how I'm filming people.

I absolutely did not get everyone's names that I did slow-mo shots with, so I need to be better about that...it was just a LOT to balance for the first time, and I'm still trying to get better about just approaching people in general XD

~Walter - Hellsing~

With the magazine thing and it being spooky month, here's some Hellsing

Another case of "I only shared 1 photo of my ALA 2026 cosplays, even though cool photographers took many cool photos, because I have the memory of a knat"

If the paragraph is too small on mobile, it reads:
Hellsing Ultimate is a fun, violence-packed, supernatural bloodbath that is a must-watch for the Halloween season, an absolute masterpiece that holds up 20 years after its release and will continue to do so into the far future. If you're familiar with the fan-made abridged series but haven't had the chance to check out the original, please do yourself the favor! We found ourselves taking photos in a parking garage on the Thursday of Anime Los Angeles 2026, and the energy was so silly and excitable that we had to work really hard to lock in for our serious action photos. This group came together over our love for this series, and we all wholeheartedly recommend it to you!
Steff (@steffvonschweetz) prepared some delicious "blood" in appropriately themed containers that was so good I kept sipping on it out of shots. Definitely the best drink I had that whole con weekend!

Who's hyped for this Halloween season?!👻

~Caleb Widowgast - Critical Role~

Happy Thursday!

@yorkinabox took all of these cool photos for me at ALA, and I didn't realize I only ever posted one of each character here 🫣

Hillywood Star Wars Parody

WATCH AT Youtube.com/Hillywood

I will never accomplish something like this again 🤣
Did it on mute, so I didn't disturb the take, and had to time it with the Vader action while also hearing the actual parody song going for the shoot.
I think it took 4 tries 😅

And I promise I wasn't just neglecting my job 💡 lighting was set, and we needed as few people on stage as possible to avoid camera shake 📽

"1969. Not bad as it goes. You've got the moon landing to look forward to."

I appreciate when conventions have sets for photo ops, so thank you to @candiiland_by_abicandi for your service!
I figured there was no way there would be anything that made sense for The Doctor, THEN THERE WAS A MOON 💙💙
I also appreciate the thought that went into the lighting...I know that's logistically limited on a con floor.

The actual song is way cooler, I promise.

@hillyhindi is gonna be at SDCC with @mattcohen4real and @dicksp8jr, so you should find them if you're there!

Sometimes you just need to lie on a cold floor surrounded by a swirling rainbow.
Happy Monday.

I wanted to have fun with the Netflix documentary trend, but I have no drama to talk about, so you get lighting jokes

Hillywood's Star Wars Parody hit 100k, so here are some fun little selfies I grabbed when time allowed ❤️

Obviously, I love Hilly, and have for basically 20 years now 🥰... Matt and Richard have been truly wonderful each time they've joined us on one of these (I didn't grab a pic with Richard, but I have this perfect photobomb, and he knows I love and appreciate him) ... and Tessa was an absolute ball of joy and positivity and encouragement. And they all killed it 🔥 (Phil and Jim were also awesome again, time was just crunchy sometimes lol)

And for our guest cosplay stars...I'm only a mild fan of Star Wars, but even then, working on this one was kinda surreal because this fandom is so baked into the world of film and nerddom. And I definitely got emotional several times when the guest cosplayers who came with their own costumes got to play in a universe they love ❤️

If you haven't already, you can watch it and a huge behind the scenes feature at:

I've made so many new (mostly cosplay) friends on here since the last time a Hillywood parody dropped, so... hello, I do lighting!
Every year or so since 2007, I've gotten to go on creative adventures with The Hillywood Show making parodies/musical love letters to fandoms.
The latest one that just dropped a week ago... STAR WARS 🌟

I always try to remember to take photos of my lighting setups, and this trend is more fun than just a little sideshow lol
