POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🍃Welcome back into the woods! ✨

🍃We’re back with Part 6 of my 30th Anniversary cards! ✨

🍃And once again, I wasn’t expecting to find the Mew you see on screen, especially since I pulled the blue RGB Mew just 4–5 days earlier! I won’t go into too much detail about my thoughts on these cards since I already talked about them in my previous reel! 💚

🍃My favourites this time are definitely Chandelure and Kommo-o 🥹 Chandelure’s colour palette is gorgeous, and I honestly think this card is a little underrated! The only downside is that Chandelure has received so many cards in recent years that it’s hard not to compare them 🕯️

🍃Kommo-o, on the other hand, is a new addition to the IT lineup, and honestly, I’m really happy with how they portrayed him! But what really surprised me was seeing the card in person: the light beams in the background and the reflections look almost like real sky trackers. Such a cool effect! ✨

🍃Gholdengo, though? I could have lived without this one 🤣

🍃As for Mewtwo, I actually like the illustration! It’s beautiful, even if it feels a little less connected to the overall theme. I think the Mew hidden among the leaves (which I still don’t own 😭) tells a more meaningful story, especially considering how solitary Mew is.

🍃What about you? Which card is your favourite out of these five? 👀

🪾Day Sixteen: Psychic Type Team🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to Day 16 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ 🎃

🍂I was a little undecided about what to post today and changed my mind at the very last minute! I remembered this card that I had considered for another theme a few days ago, but ended up choosing something else instead. Today, it’s finally Swoobat’s turn! 💗

🍂These two cuties from White Flare, illustrated by Saboteri, are just adorable! I love the contrast between the warm, dry tropical setting and their saturated colors, especially those almost fluorescent, heart-shaped waves. Such a sweet little detail! 🦇💕

🍂Maybe a little less spooky than my other choices, but Swoobat is still a bat, after all! And we all know what flies over our heads on Halloween night..👀🦇

🍂I can’t wait to see what everyone else has chosen! 🕯️

🪾Day Sixteen: Comfort Card🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to Day 16 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ ☕️

🍂For today’s theme, I chose this Mimikyu promo from Scarlet & Violet! 🧶💛

🍂There’s something so sweet and comfortable about this artwork. Our little ghost friend is sitting in an armchair, snuggled up between some cozy blankets, while an elderly lady knits beside him 🥹🧶 It makes me think of the warmth and safety of being at home with your family, wrapped in a blanket while someone you love doesn’t care who you were before, who you are now, or who you’re trying to make others believe you are. They love you for who you truly are 💛

🍂Mimikyu has such an interesting lore. It tries to imitate Pikachu’s appearance and fame, hiding its true self behind that little disguise. And I can’t help wondering if, in the comfort of its own little home, surrounded by warmth and someone who cares for it, Mimikyu can finally relax and be a little more like itself 🥹

🍂What’s your comfort card? I’m so curious to see which cards make you feel cozy and safe! 🍂🧶

🪾Day Fifteen: By the Fireplace🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to Day 15 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ 🎃

🍂I might be a little predictable with today’s theme, but I just couldn’t resist choosing this Vulpix from Mega Evolution. I absolutely LOVE this card! 😭🧡 The warm colours make it feel like the deepest part of fall, and it’s just perfect for those cozy evenings by the fireplace.

🍂It’s definitely not fireplace weather here just yet, but the air is finally getting cooler! This is honestly my favourite time of the year, when it’s neither too hot nor too cold. I wish it could stay like this forever! 🍂

🍂Unfortunately, I don’t have many other cards featuring a fireplace. There’s a beautiful Flareon V promo that I’d absolutely love to own but I still haven’t managed to get it 🔥

🍂Okay, but what is going on with the photo quality lately? Even my last post looks all grainy to me 😭 I know I’ve been in a rush these days, so I definitely haven’t been taking the best pictures ever, but let me know if you’re having the same issue 🫪

🍂Now I’m super curious to see what everyone else has chosen for this theme! I can’t wait to see all your cozy little fireplace scenes 🕯️🍁

🪾Day Fourteen: Falling Leaves🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to Day 14 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ 🍁

🍂For today’s theme, I chose this beautiful Hisuian Samurott from Crown Zenith! ✨

🍂In this artwork, we see Samurott gazing towards the horizon, where Mount Coronet rises in the distance, across what looks like a lake or a river. The contrast between the different shades of blue in the water, the mountain and Samurott itself is already beautiful, but what makes this card even more special to me is the golden tree, with its yellow and orange autumn leaves falling gently onto the water and surrounding the Pokémon 🍂💛

🍂This is a card I’ve wanted for such a long time, but I only managed to get my hands on it recently, at the last Card Expo! I’m so happy to finally have it in my collection. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous! 🥹

🍂I can’t wait to see all the beautiful falling leaves cards you’ve chosen for today’s theme! 🥹🍁

🍂Welcome back into the woods! 🍁

🍂There’s something magical about autumn leaves falling from the trees and covering the ground in warm shades of gold and orange. It’s the perfect season for a little outdoor play! 🍁

🍂Tepig and Scorbunny are rolling around and playing among the leaves turned golden by autumn, while Dedenne looks absolutely adorable perched on a branch, enjoying a little berry as the leaves gently fall around him 🥹

🍂They’re all so beautiful and incredibly sweet! I love how these illustrations capture such simple, cozy but playful autumn moments 🧡

🍂Which one is your favorite of this little trio? ✨

🍂Tepig - WHT 096 (Orca)
🍂Scorbunny - ASC 225 (Yuu Nishida)
🍂Dedenne - POR 093 (HYOGONOSUKE)

🪾Day Thirteen: Dinner After Dark🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to Day 13 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ 🕯️

🍂For today’s theme, I couldn’t choose anything other than this haunted dinner table featuring Chandelure! 👻 Did it show up to haunt the guests while they were eating? Is it getting everything ready for dinner? Or did it actually come to clear the table? Who knows! 😂

🍂This is such a beautiful Illustration Rare from White Flare, illustrated by Kuroimori. Chandelure is a Pokémon I really love because it manages to be both spooky and incredibly elegant. There’s something so fascinating about him, and I think this artwork captures that perfectly 🕯️

🍂Chandelure has actually received quite a few gorgeous cards over the past few years, from its TG card in Lost Origin to the new Mega Chandelure in Pitch Black and its IR for the 30th anniversary. So I can understand if some collectors feel like we’ve seen a little too much of it lately, especially when there are still so many Pokémon out there that have never received an Illustration Rare! 🥹

🍂Meanwhile, I’m still waiting for my beloved Pumpkaboo to get its moment to shine, along with so many other Pokémon that deserve their own special artwork 🎃

🍂What did you choose for today’s theme? I’m curious to see which Pokémon will be joining us for dinner tonight! 🤭

🪾Day Twelve: Bats, Bats, Bats🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to day 12 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ 🦇

🍂There are so many bat Pokémon cards that I love, especially the cute ones that would fit perfectly with my usual page aesthetic! 🦇 But for this spooky challenge, I wanted to go for something a little darker and more intimidating 🖤

🍂I chose Noivern from Evolving Skies, illustrated by the amazing Mitsuhiro Arita. I absolutely love this artwork! It gives me serious Batman vibes, with Noivern leaping off a skyscraper and soaring into the night 🦇

🍂I also love how the urban setting makes this illustration stand out. Most Pokémon cards tend to feature natural landscapes, forests or smaller towns, so seeing Noivern in the middle of a huge metropolis feels quite unusual. The towering buildings and dark atmosphere make the whole scene feel more dramatic and mysterious, and I think it’s the perfect choice for today’s spooky theme!

🍂What did you choose for today’s theme? I’m always curious to see your picks! 🫶🏻

🪾Day Eleven: Silent Afternoon🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to Day 11 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ 🔮

🍂For today’s theme, I chose Spiritomb from Lost Origin. This artwork is quite unsettling, but there’s also something deeply sad and melancholic about it 🖤

🍂We see a little girl dressed up for a special occasion looking through a brightly lit window, while Spiritomb seems to be following her. The warm light coming from the house contrasts with the darkness surrounding them, making me wonder whether it’s late afternoon or already nighttime. There’s something about this scene that feels strangely lonely, and Spiritomb’s presence makes it even eerier 🥀

🍂But I can’t help wondering..is the little girl looking inside the house, or is she checking her reflection in the glass to see if someone is following her? 👻

🍂I’m so curious to see what you all chose for today’s theme! 🍂

🍂Welcome back into the woods! 🌿 I’m finally back with some 3-card trio reels! It’s been sooo long since I last posted any, especially considering I used to post them almost every day until this summer 😭

🍂Today I wanted to share three cards that give me that warm, cozy feeling I love so much about fall. Each one captures a different little moment, but they all make me want to slow down, get comfortable and enjoy the simple things ☕️🍁

🍂Fletchinder looks like it’s taking a little break by a campfire, with the landscape illuminated and warmed by nothing but the glow of the flames. There’s something so peaceful about this scene, as if you could almost feel the warmth of the fire against the chilly autumn air 🔥

🍂Dachsbun is stretched out on a table full of delicious treats, cakes and all kinds of goodies. Everything in this illustration radiates warmth and coziness, making it such a sweet and heartwarming card 🍰🥐

🍂Vulpix brings back so many beautiful memories of my grandparents’ country house, sitting in front of the fireplace with copper pans hanging above it ❤️ It’s one of those illustrations that takes me straight back to a place and a feeling I’ll always cherish. Truly extraordinary in its simplicity 🦊

🍂Which one gives you the strongest autumn vibes? 🍁

🍂Fletchinder - PAL 199 (Atsushi Furusawa)
🍂Dachsbun - SCR 169 (Yuu Nishida)
🍂Vulpix - MEG 138 (saino misaki)

🪾Day Ten: Mystical Artwork🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to Day 10 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ 🔮

🍂For today’s theme, I chose this beautiful Misdreavus IR from Ascended Heroes illustrated by mashu! ✨

🍂I love how the colourful shapes, floating threads and buttons create such a surreal atmosphere, almost as if Misdreavus were emerging from a mysterious little box and inviting us into a world of her own 💜✨

🍂What did you choose for today’s theme? I’m curious because I was really torn between a few cards today 🤣

🪾Day Nine: Ghost Type🪾

🍂Welcome back into the woods and welcome to Day 9 of the #pokéboo challenge hosted by @sparklystackz and @_joyscollection_ 👻

🍂For today’s theme, I chose this Gastly from Temporal Forces! 👻 I thought it was one of the most iconic choices for this theme, featuring the entire evolutionary line of the original Ghost-type Pokémon: Gastly, Haunter and Gengar! 🖤

🍂This nighttime urban scene is so much fun! 🌙 This spooky little gang seems to be roaming the city, probably looking for someone to scare or some mischief to get into. Meanwhile, poor Meowth is hiding nearby, looking pretty terrified of this ghostly crowd 😂

🍂I love how playful and full of personality this artwork is. It feels like we’re catching this ghostly gang in the middle of their own little nighttime adventure, and Meowth just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time 👻💜

🍂Now I’m curious to see what everyone else has picked for today’s theme! 🖤
