LOOK AWAY before he puts you under!

Hypno cards are so criminally underrated, the aura on this one is unmatched. He looks downright evil here, swinging his pendulum, waiting to put you to sleep.

Those trippy eyes in the patterned background add so much to the hypnotic effect.

Absolutely hypnotizing.

Wherever Celebi appears, plant life is said to flourish.

The artwork on this card captures that beautifully, showing the Mythical Pokémon floating through a forest filled with vibrant foliage.

What’s interesting about this specific print is that the cosmos holofoil is exclusive to the Japanese release. The English edition only has a non-holo finish.

Such a stunning card and one I’m incredibly happy to have in the collection!

They really don’t make them like this anymore.

The 2001 Southern Islands set is easily one of my favorites because the cards act like puzzle pieces that connect together to form one big picture.

In my opinion, this is easily one of the best Mew cards out there. I love how you can see Charizard flying past the vibrant rainbow in the background and even the tip of Pidgeot’s wing peeking into the frame. Combine that incredible vintage artwork with a nice holo swirl — it’s an absolute masterpiece.

Chose the dome fossil in Mt. Moon and never looked back. Kabutops is low-key one of the coolest most underrated Gen 1 designs out there. Pure prehistoric vibes.

Be honest... which fossil did you pick on your very first playthrough?

Who doesn’t love a chonky Chikorita?

Copped this at a card show last year because the art was just too adorable. I was so new to the hobby back then that I completely ignored the “swirl” sticker the seller slapped on the sleeve… had no clue what it even meant.

Safe to say beginner’s luck is real. Thought I was just picking up a cute little plant, didn’t realize it came with its own flower.

This McDonald’s promo set is seriously packed with gems, which one is your personal favorite?

Picked this up a while back at a local card show. Didn’t actually know about this card before but loved the aesthetic so couldn’t leave without it.

How do you usually decide which card to add next to your collection? Do you stumble upon something online and chase it down, or do you prefer the random find at a show?
