Paleontology just got a massive upgrade! 🦖🦴

Japan's National Museum of Nature and Science officially teamed up with The Pokémon Company to create a traveling Pokémon Fossil Museum. This incredible exhibition places life-size skeletal models of Fossil Pokémon right beside real dinosaur fossils and prehistoric reconstructions. It is designed to help visitors compare these fantasy creatures with the real-world organisms that actually inspired them.

The exhibit features fully realized skeletons of fan favorites like Aerodactyl, Kabuto, Omanyte, Archeops, and Tyrantrum to teach visitors about anatomy, evolution, and fossilization. The best news? After touring Japan for years, the exhibition finally made its North American debut at Chicago's Field Museum in May 2026!

Japan takes their love for Pokémon to an entirely different level! 🇯🇵🌊

Since 2019, Miyagi Prefecture has officially utilized Lapras as their designated tourism ambassador. The initiative was brilliantly designed to bring attention and tourism back to the region following the devastating 2011 earthquake and tsunami. The absolute best part of this campaign? The local governor fully commits to the bit at every single event.

Swipe through to see him enthusiastically riding a giant inflatable Lapras, posing with massive mascots on stage, and dedicating an official Lapras manhole cover. The region has even gone all out by building Lapras-themed playgrounds, parking a massive inflatable in a government lobby, and setting up an entire fleet of Lapras paddle boats for tourists to ride on the local lakes!

If your hometown or city could have an official Pokémon mascot to boost tourism, which one would you choose? Let me know in the comments! 👇 by @pokemonshell

PSA 10s across the board imo.

@luvv.mae0 posted these images to Reddit, with the caption “[My sister] said since cards are expensive, she decided to make homemade cards,” which is extremely adorable. Also shout-out her little brother for the energy card 🔥

Ever wonder what your team is actually doing when they aren't out battling? 🎮🥪

The incredibly talented artist sqshiijelly (over on Twitter!) has created some of the funniest and most relatable Pokémon fan art out there. From an Umbreon raging at video games in their room to a Lugia awkwardly trying to type on a tiny MacBook, these doodles capture their personalities perfectly.

Swipe through to see Koraidon absolutely devouring a massive sandwich, a Gastly bouncing off a basketball rim directly onto a stressed Gengar, and a Gible just casually chomping on a Druddigon's head! There is even a super wholesome shot of Toxel and Bulbasaur having a coloring session together.

Which of these everyday Pokémon situations is your absolute favorite? Let me know in the comments! 👇 by @pokemonshell

What happens when you combine some of the most powerful Pokémon in the world? 🧬✨

Artist Seoxys6 has been creating some absolutely mind-blowing Pokémon fusion designs! Swipe through to see what happens when you combine heavy hitters like Charizard and Garchomp, or god-tier legendaries like Lugia and Arceus.

They even threw in an amazing crossover by fusing Luxray with the Fierce Deity Mask from The Legend of Zelda! From a Darkrai/Feraligatr hybrid to an incredibly clean Ninetales and Midnight Lycanroc mix, these designs make us wish fusion was an actual mechanic in the games.

Which of these fusions is your absolute favorite? If you could fuse any two Pokémon together, what would you choose? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Every 90s kid's ultimate dream is officially becoming a reality! 🎢⚡️

These incredible new photos give us a first look at PokéPark Kanto, and the attention to detail is absolutely insane. The entrance greets you with massive, perfect statues of the original Kanto starters.

As you swipe through, the park looks incredibly immersive. There is a gorgeous glowing water fountain square complete with a real-life Poké Mart building right behind it. They even built a massive carnival ride where you literally get to fly around sitting inside giant Pikachu cars!

If you could build a theme park ride based on any Pokémon, what would it be? Let me know in the comments! 👇 by @pokemonshell
