—————————
(left)Oshun: is the goddess of fertility, love, water, purity and sensuality, although possessing human attributes such as vanity, spite and jealousy she remains the mother of sweet things in Yoruba religion.
The water barer, the nurturer, protector and saviour- life giver yet taker.
Nurturer of wombs bringing more life
Rains that could flood the world but in the same breath bring life to many people whom live in drought ridden areas.
V POWERFUL FEMININE ENERGY!

***sidenote at bottom***********

(right) : is a character that I have created to honour and reclaim the creation energy of the divine feminine which is essentially:
sensuality/the erotic
- often times this energy is demonised/fetishised/flattened/objectified in the current world when it comes to womxn and their expression, so here’s a design to reclaim the womb that holds the all, the great expanse through with life is give and taken.

i hope to in the future show love and appreciation to many more deities/gods from all over the globe whom I feel gracefully possess the union of the paradoxes

My intention: so to bring some recognition and uplift the people our stories. That is where our gold is. Since the dawn of time people have passed on stories as a form of teaching, we are innately creative beings and best we best respond to story; the glue that pieces the trail of information together.
Hopefully this can offer us a chance to embrace that which is ours whilst almost all of us are in diaspora.
These tattoos will only be available to those who have a personal inherent relationship to the gods/deities/archetypal figures and will be handled dutifully-
people getting these tattoos are more than welcome to incorporate their own rituals before/during/after the process as to honour the piece and the meanings/ intentions of.
my knowledge is not infinite, I’m still learning just like us all so feel free to jump in the comments and add more words about the deity or generally open up a discussion about these things, would love for this platform to hold space for these discussions because they’re useful tools in activating doors of opportunity within us.
