From the classroom to the field! They also offered our students practical advice for the road ahead. Thank you to our alumni for coming back and sharing your stories with the POLIS community. Your journeys continue to inspire the next generation 🌟! by @polis_lau
POLIS congratulates our alumna Mofida Kadi on joining the University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science as a PhD Researcher and Junior Research Fellow. Mofida’s research asks what AI sovereignty means in practice. While governments increasingly frame AI as a matter of sovereignty, their ability to control the AI systems they rely on is often shaped by everyday governance decisions: what they buy, from whom, and on what terms. In her PhD, she studies the governance and organisational capabilities needed for responsible, sustainable and sovereign AI, with AI procurement as a central lever. Using Design Science Research, she aims to develop governance tools that organisations can apply in real-world settings, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Anastasija Nikiforova. Wishing you continued success, Mofida 🌟! by @polis_lau
