隨著渡輪駛離中環，維港的摩天大樓逐漸變小，都市喧囂被海水隔絕。船上的瞬間抽離感，讓我們免受紅綠燈與急促腳步的催促。時間在海中心無法快進，讓我們重新掌控生活的節奏。抵達梅窩，海風夾雜著鹹味拂面而過，帶出旅人的興奮感。緩步而行，便來到位於銀河旁的街坊茶樓——銀城海鮮酒家。 銀城的早市在清晨破曉時開始。茶樓內坐滿了街坊長者，店員會帶領他們到「專屬座位」。數十年的鄰里關係建立了深厚默契，茶客不用開口，熱騰騰的普洱或香片已準備妥當。這裡保留了舊式風味，茶客需自己起身挑選點心，店員也毋須為追求翻桌率而催趕。席間除了茶香與點心香氣，更充滿了聊聊天氣、健康與馬經的社區溫度。 彼此分享，是飲茶文化的核心精神。粵式點心以「一盅兩件」的形式呈現，是一項經濟實惠的飲食與社交活動，讓大家能同時品嚐多款美味。在急促的現代社會中，茶樓成了難得可以消磨時間的庇護所，讓人舒適地忙裡偷閒、維繫感情。 「得閒飲茶！」這句在市區逐漸流於客套的對白，在梅窩的晨光裡，卻是最踏實的生活實踐。 As the ferry glides from Central toward Mui Wo, the city’s clamour is severed by the sea. Aboard the vessel, this sudden detachment allows us to reclaim our sovereignty over time. Free from the countdown of traffic lights, time on the open water cannot be fast-forwarded. It compels us to slow down and recalibrate our lives. Stepping off into the briny ocean breeze, we walk leisurely to Silvermine Bay Restaurant, a neighbourhood teahouse nestled beside the Silver River. The morning service here starts at dawn. Elderly regulars occupy their de facto reserved seats. Decades of neighbourly bonds have forged an unspoken understanding; staff serve their usual Pu-erh or Jasmine tea without a word. Locals navigate the space with effortless familiarity, standing up to pick their favourite Dim Sum straight from the kitchen. Unlike the sterile rush of urban restaurants, this place preserves an old-world charm. There is no pressure to rush table turnovers. The dining hall is filled with an atmosphere woven from traditional rituals and tight-knit community ties where neighbours chat about health or horse races. Sharing is the indispensable core of Yum Cha. Dominated by the modest tradition of “one pot, two pieces” (一盅兩件), it remains an affordable social ritual for all classes. It allows everyone to sample diverse delicacies together, making the teahouse a rare sanctuary to squander time and sustain emotional bonds. “Tak Han Yam Cha!” (Equivalent to the Western “Let’s catch up over coffee sometime!” ). This phrase, which has devolved into a hollow politeness in the city, remains a grounded, living practice in the morning light of Mui Wo. by @polite_hk
