My first ever European Stag Beetle, Lucanus cervus 🤩 We found him on the underside of a car weirdly enough. He was very docile and happy to be relocated to a nearby tree 😊 such an amazing and beautiful animal!

This strangely shaped moth hanging out on the kitchen ceiling is Genus Agdistis 👽

I'm still very much working on steadiness for my hand-held stacks 😅

There are so many more pollinators than honey bees and butterflies and they don't get enough love! This flower for example was covered in mites full of pollen 👹

I was so excited to capture this parasitic wasp ovopositing (laying eggs) right into this saw fly's head! The life cycle of wasps never ceases to amaze!

I was photographing the larva when I noticed some strange behavior: one of them was writhing around trying to knock something off its head using its back end (second photo) however soon it resigned to its fate and the wasp was left to finish laying her eggs 😬

The wasp is possibly genus Tetrastichus. I saw @thebugvoice 's post just a few days after taking this photo and it led me in the right direction for an ID 😁 Also thank you to @jeongyoo_chalc for your feedback on the ID 😊

I look forward to capturing more amazing bug behavior!

Two Blood-Spotted Sugar Ants (Camponotus cruentatus) engaged in war with another species of ant. The ant they were fighting has obviously already been decapitated but they stayed locked in position holding its head.

Solitary bee covered in pollen mites after emerging. This bee was so weighed down that she couldn’t fly or even walk. Still after about half an hour, she managed to scrape off enough mites that she could begin to move.

Scroll for detail.
